On Maggie’s ear: she is a rescue who grew up in a feral colony. When she was found, her ear was so badly infected that the only way to save any of it was to amputate about 2/3 of her right ear. She is 16 now and doesn’t seem to mind it a bit.

ETA: You guys have made my day. I would tell Maggie, but I’m afraid it would give her an even more inflated sense of self-importance, lol! I tried to respond to every concern and question, but I may have missed a few. Sorry!

Also, to all who feel bad, I gave her a big handful of extra treats just for y’all today. Sorry the video doesn’t have sound. I am not tech savvy. Yes, she does the patty-paw every time there is food involved. Just in case I didn’t hear her calling for it the first time!

One of my dogs ears fold in a weird way, I call it her butterfly ear. That’s just Maggie’s butterfly ear. ❤️

The ear was my favorite part! I have a mustang that got frostbite on her ear when she was in the wild so more than half of it is missing and it is my favorite thing.

Gives them an excuse to pretend they can't hear you.

Aw. I'm glad she living a good life! My cat does the same. At 6 am or so he meows for most food.

I have a cat who looks quite a bit like yours. She’s missing half an ear because she was a stray who was caught, fixed, and released again. They clip the ear as identification that it’s been done. She later decided she lived with me. I named her Van Gogh.

Came to the comments to see what was up with that ear and it’s the top comment! Nice!

It’s super cute!

My cat got an ear infection and it just kinda folded over and now it stays like that & it is definitely my favorite quality.

She’s adorable by the way!

Please would you give Maggie some snuggles for me? I lost my shouty old lady cat a few months ago and I miss her! Maggie sounds very very close to what my car sounded like.

Done. I am snuggling her right now in your shouty old lady’s honor. I’m sorry for your loss, and sending you love, fellow cat person. ❤️
