Scream Team POV: You were adopted as a kitten by a married couple with no kids in a duel income household. All your needs are met and exceeded. So, naturally, you scream at the top of your lungs every night while your parents cook dinner because they’re not actively holding you.

POV means point of view, which means that the video would be from the perspective of the cat. Cute kitty though!

While snarky, I think that person was just trying to point out that I had been corrected 9,000 times in the comments, acknowledged my mistake, and corrected it in various comments throughout this thread. 🫠 This video of my noisy cat has seemed to make a lot of people happy so I didn’t want to take it down to make corrections and awkwardly repost again.

He’s a cutie. Our male cat yells all the time too, it’s annoying maybe 5% of the time, endearing the other 95%!

I bet that’s not even close to the top of her lungs. I had a super timid cat as a child, never made a sound except to purr on the rare occasion she’d be ok with getting pet. Most of the time she was scared of everything (we rescued her from an abusive home she was terrified of brooms so we assume they hit her with one) but one day I heard what sounded like a terrified human female scream, I went to check it out it was this cat, screaming louder than I thought was possible, at another cat that was at the window. Never knew a cat that small could make a scream that big.

u/farmacy2112 Jun 09 '22
Oh my, I don’t know if I want to see this one’s full power. Also that makes my heart happy that you rescued that kitty and gave her a happy life.

This brought my cat out of her hiding place. She came to yell at me for listening to another car yell!
35
u/duh-luhh Jun 10 '22
Do you meow back to him? How does he react when that happens? My cat will have long "conversations" will me and it is hilarious.
Your kitty is super cut!
29
u/farmacy2112 Jun 10 '22
My husband meows back at him! Most of the time we just talk to him though. He will have in-depth conversations with you.
26
u/Revolutionary-ALE Jun 09 '22
Have you ever played any Cat Movies? I got one called Happy Cat. Better than a fish tank, and she’s into birds and squirrels

My son used to screm while I was cooking, and also prickle my leg to the point of blood.
In the end I got him a papoose. It helped.
5
u/JuicyRhino Jun 10 '22
Omg that’s exactly the mental image I needed this morning- a kitty in a papoose! So adorable 😭Do you have a picture?

We adopted him and his brother together! He’s just a screaming boi.
30
u/GnomeMode Jun 10 '22
Lmao he's like that and not an only child?! He is SMITTEN with you guys
Also, what's his sibling like in comparison?? "Normal"?
31
u/farmacy2112 Jun 10 '22
Roger is our shadow. Crumbs tends to be a little more independent but still a very affectionate cat! Crumbs is our normal cat. Roger…well, Roger is special. 😅

u/Kiri_serval Jun 10 '22
If you want to stop this behavior, try getting a stool for him to sit on. Cats like to be part of the action and see what is going on. A tall enough stool will allow him to be nearby without being underfoot, or in-arms.

Someone else mentioned a pet sling. If he's that needy, I second the sling
5
u/BizMarkieDeSade Jun 10 '22
Is this my cat? Are you my spouse? I know this life waaaaay too well.
I love our spoiled gray screamer, but the sleep that we lose… it’s a challenge, lol. His brother is super polite, too.
5
u/farmacy2112 Jun 10 '22
Oh my gosh, cat doppelgängers! Thankfully Roger chills out when he is touching one of us. The two sleep with us so it’s quiet purring all throughout the night. Except for the occasional 3am zoomies/attack your feet session.

u/Lyssepoo Jun 10 '22

If this cat wasn’t grey I would assume you were my husband. Our little orange spoiled brat does this every time we cook. Down to the big stretches and everything. He won’t stop till someone holds him like a baby.
We adopted him with his littermate and she is so quiet 90% of the time. She only screams when she wants her toy, and even then it is a very polite scream. Miso is ear piercingly loud.
2
u/DBs4Life Jun 10 '22
Hahahaha We also have cats who were both cats and kittens when adopted into our DINK Double Income No Kids household. All their needs are met and exceeded. They also act as if they're neglected if we try to work, cook, clean, really anything other than pet and hold them...
They have no idea how good they have it! Hahaha
