Doctor Dr Maturin, fixing a dislocated hip with his giant thumb paws.
I partially dislocated my left hip yesterday. Dr Maturin, who’s actually named after a doctor from a novel (bonus points it you know it!), only does this kind of therapeutic massage when someone kneads healing. Migraine? He’ll curl up on your head and purr. Dislocation? He’ll pop it back in. Way better care than I got at the hospital, because humans know nothing. 5 stars for an excellent bedside manner and also the thumbs.

"when someone kneads healing"
If you're punning, you must be feeling better. Kudos to Dr Maturin!

I don’t know! He just seems to have this innate ability to sense when someone is injured. He’s my husband’s cat. Completely ignores me unless if I’m injured, sick, or pregnant. When I was pregnant, he followed me around, meowed incessantly if he thought I was overdoing it, and then when I finally did listen and sit down, he would curl up and purr on the bump.

The good Doctor always knows what's good for the crew and has a nice bolus ready for their dosing.
