It's because yoru, as a full devil, has no concept of love or lust. But since she's literally sharing a brain and fully functional body with asa, she's experiencing all the feelings and emotions asa does. Which includes love and lust. Love is extremely complicated, so yoru has no shot at understanding it. Lust is fairly simple, which yoru does understand and therefore focuses on. While asa has the social intelligence to resist her basic urges, yoru does not and doesn't want to resist either. So she's the one slobbering denji up at any opportunity and promising him sex.
Power went through something somewhat comparable. She felt pleasure when denji touched her boobs without the pads and when she had denji bite her neck and drink her blood. She also blushed heavily when they were bathing together. For denji, it was purely platonic, but power basically felt what any young woman would feel in those situations without understanding any of it. She's not even a humanoid devil, so she understands those feelings even less than yoru does.

They actually can. It can be taught or learned. Itās different with Primal Fears. More likely with Fiends if you catch them early one. They donāt have it by default, though. Yoru is experiencing lust more than love.
Yes he does. Asa is the one girl he can relate to, the one girl who showed real genuine non toxic care for him. The one girl who understands him. Like for instance Asa is the first girl Denji is not obsessed with nor is his love based out of perversion. He just genuinely likes her.
He likes Asa because he likes attention, and cause she's pretty
After the falling devil arc and ever since then he understands how much he impacted her life, giving her back desire to keep on living
But I don't think Denji has really had the time to dwell too much into that thought
They make a really good couple, both of them struggling to find their places in the world and often feeling used by others. When they are honest with each other they find peace. I love them
Denji doesn't know what love is. That's the saddest part about Chainsaw man. He struggles to change because he doesn't know what a life without chasing women, fighting for his life, or losing his loved ones looks like.
Asa vs someone Denji truly care about (Power and Aki would fall under this category too).
Asa is the friend he has fun with, they aren't like close Close but they had fun. He is warming up to Asa though, and it help that everyone he cared about die, so she's literally the only one left

Itās showing us that Denji is learning to differentiate love and lust, and that heās capable of separating the two and expressing the former more explicitly
that he wouldn't touch her without her consent. He's talked about consent with here before. Also when he had a chance to touch powers boobs and when he was in the tub with power he felt no sexual stimulation but when Yoru/Asa gave him a handjob he basically came instantly

Denji is a traumatized teenager that had an abusive father and has been preyed upon by multiple different adult women. The only people who showed him geniuen kindness without preying upon him were Aki and Power both both of who were killed by Makima his original abuser.Ā
My point is I don't know if Denji knows who he likes.Ā
Currently, I don't think so, he was interested in her and he liked her, but since they started pressuring him to choose whether to be with her or not and these last chapters where everything happened, to be honest, now I see him more confused than interested, even in his second to last appearance it is confirmed that the perception he had of Asa as a different girl disappeared, now the one who is with Asa is the empathetic Denji desperate for company, not the Denji genuinely interested in something more.
