Jarring Pasta Sauce

I don't have a canner. Can I jar pasta sauce I made that has Parmesan cheese in it without canned?

Assuming by “jar” you mean water bath…no, you can’t do this safely. You should only water bath can recipes that are designed and tested for water bath canning. Water bath canning a normal pasta sauce recipe that contains fat, onion/garlic probably, and probably is not acidic enough, is a botulism risk. I would suggest freezing it.

Thanks much! In the freezer it goes!

check out r/canning for more info. you may be able to adapt your recipe to a safe tested one and add stuff like parmesan after. some pasta sauces you only need a water bath canner, or a pot big enough to cover your jars + one inch of water
