CO Licensing and Supply Stores

So I’m moving to CO from KY and it’s looking like they don’t do reciprocity and I have to find a sponsor? How does that work if anyone’s done that before?

I’m just wondering if I can go into a supply store and get things for personal use at least using my KY license. I’m sure cosmoprof will be fine but I get color from Salon Centric and Salon Service Group and they seem to pull up the state registry.

So it appears as long as you make the education requirements and have your transcripts , you just have to file all the documentation. I attached a picture right from Kentucky state board for you for reference. If you want to find it yourself Google “Kentucky cosmetology license reciprocity” and it will be the .gov website

I currently hold a KY license. I am moving out of KY to CO. This is for someone who holds a license from a state that is not KY and is moving here. Thank you though!

Are you guys military by chance? If so have you checked on the military spouse license for Colorado?
