How you gonna get mad on a cruise that has all-you-can-eat ice cream at a place called "Lick Me til Ice Cream"?

Well, on my VV the beds were REALLY REALLY hard. I'm pretty skinny and I had a hard time sleeping.

Not saying it's okay, but maybe the CEO didn't sleep well...

Eat more ice cream, get fat, problem solved!

Last time I cruised, as soon as we got off, waiting for the uber at the port a couple of ild farts stared a fight because he bumped into his luggage.... Some people are just @sshxoles

Sometimes lactose intolerance just hits you at the wrong times

I stopped a fight between a couple of old farts getting off a Princess cruise. One decided that one guy's partially disabled wife shouldn't be sitting on the bench designated for people with disabilities. Like, he thought it was his mission in life to save that bench for people in wheelchairs because that makes perfect sense. I just stood in front of the irate "hero" until he gave up and moved on. People can be so dumb.

Damn. I need a tshirt with this phrase…as a Mother’s Day gift 😉

To clarify, the CEO isn't related to the cruise company or anything:

A finance CEO was feeling less than zen at sea. Kenneth DeGiorgio, the CEO of First American Financial ...

To summarise, his wife told some guy ("M.A.") to put his shoes back on, MA declined and swore at her. DeGiorgio then fought and threatened MA. Security was called. DeGiorgio got charged with assault.

25

u/PointOfFingers 1d ago

He didn't just swear at her, he said "Shut up, you fucking bitch.” The attacker over-reacted but the victim is also an asshole.

Getting your feelings hurt does not justify physical violence.

I like it when being a douch canoe in public comes with consequences. I want to be clear though that I'm not defending what she did - a lot rides on how she asked him, and why.

taking your shoes off anywhere but pool side does.

Yeah, more people should curse at others' wives.

u/alanamil 1d ago

Except she decided to correct someone that was not her child and it was non of her business that he had his shoes off. She should have talk to ship staff and let them handle it.

Hygiene is a thing.

17

u/Spierre3 1d ago

Which would be best handled by cruise staff. They are literally everywhere so someone with authority couldve handled it.

8

u/Aggravating_Depth_33 1d ago

I somehow doubt the guy's feet were dirtier than his shoe soles...

8

u/sweetestlorraine 1d ago

As is the wife, it seems.

u/JimJam4603 1d ago

So?

4

u/patiofurnature 1d ago

You don’t like having context?

9

u/JimJam4603 1d ago

Doesn’t change anything about the attacker’s behavior.

1

u/Sunshine635 1d ago

Where’s Luigi ???

0

u/nocibur8 2h ago

Italian doing what they do best lol.

30

u/deadinternetlol 1d ago

TBH, I would pay extra for a cruise that includes CEOs assaulting each other, that’d be good money spent.

u/YeetAccount99 1d ago

On the next White Lotus….

23

u/Militarybrat123 1d ago

I thought it meant the CEO of Virgin so elderly Richard Branson trying to choke someone out on a virgin voyages ship lmao

3

u/crisss1205 1d ago

Even then, Richard Branson is not the CEO.

4

u/EchidnaDiligent887 1d ago

Precisely - there's pretty much nothing Vice won't do for a click.

26

u/support_4americans 1d ago

Now that Luigi is locked down, these CEOs are acting brave.

5

u/BizzyM 1d ago

They're fighting back

11

u/justhitmidlife 1d ago

Sounds like a one-line pitch for a K drama.

4

u/Techhead7890 1d ago

It really does, doesn't it?

10

u/Cautious-Special2327 1d ago

this is why the ceos wife should have engaged with cruise staff instead of the barefoot dancing fool. I cant imagine why this went south when she thought she was the cruise ship police?

1

u/calcium 3h ago

My husband is a CEO so I’m always right and everyone always listens to me, so I was appalled when someone told me no.

5

u/warheadmikey 1d ago

He needs to sue the shit out of the POS

13

u/alanamil 1d ago

Well she first off should have minded her own business and talk to ship staff regarding the bare feet.

And IMHO, she should have walked away when he flipper her off and name called and the husband acted foolish, The guy had not laid a hand on your wife, you could have words with him if you really think it was necessary but alcohol fueled people you probably should just walk away... Being flipped off and called a FU**** B**tch is a normal day driving in large towns.. I would think to myself grow up.

5

u/CityCareless 1d ago

I have danced at that exact bar barefooted. Lie what the actual fuck is even her problem. It’s a goddamn cruise ship.

14

u/Z0ooool 1d ago

Good Lord, was that article even written by an English speaker, or is this some weird translation? People change genders and we have stuff like "allegedly choked a threatened to kill a fellow cruise passenger.".

Publishers are too cheap to pay for editors these days.

Source: Am an editor.

17

u/SoupTerrible4173 1d ago

Most likely it was written by crappy AI. That seems to be the norm these days

6

u/GeneticsGuy 1d ago

AI actually has reliable grammar.

5

u/Right_Resolve4947 1d ago

AI has nothing reliable. It's an amalgamation not a creation.

1

u/choc0kitty 1d ago

Written by AI?

2

u/Sunshine635 1d ago

Carnival ???

1

u/JayneT70 15h ago

Nope, Virgin.

4

u/Ok_Ideal8217 1d ago

According to her linkedin she is a salon owner and the name is Riot and Maehem… seems appropriate and the spelling is hers not mine

4

u/wisecommenter2 1d ago

The three of them (the Karen wife and two assholes) sound like they all deserve each other. Too bad the first asshole's wife didn't get involved by pulling off Karen's weave. Then the story would be complete.

4

u/Sara_Zigggler 1d ago

Biggest question I have is why does someone who makes 7 figures a year go on virgin?

At least do a luxury cruise.

8

u/kent_eh 1d ago

someone who makes 7 figures a year

This guy's actions go to show once again that money can't buy classiness.

5

u/JennJayBee 1d ago

Same reason why a supposed billionaire is eating McDonald's and KFC.

u/Sara_Zigggler 1d ago edited 6h ago

Craving a burger and traveling style is different.

If i fine dine often I’d definitely occasionally crave a burger. I’ll never crave to fly in economy if I can afford business or choose to stay in motel 6 instead of four seasons.

1

u/Sparklemagic2002 10h ago

There are Rock Star suites on VV that cost as much as a luxury cruise, or more. This man and his wife were “rock stars” on this voyage.

1

u/ZOMBIE_N_JUNK 1d ago

A CEO, ohhh . Wow. it's not that hard to be a CEO.

1

u/milo4531864 20h ago

inappropriate !!

1

u/SagebrushID 18h ago

Evidently Mr. CEO and his wife haven't seen the movie "27 Dresses." If they had, they would have known to sit back and enjoy someone dancing on a bar.

1

u/Tricky-Opposite-114 1h ago

If I was a psychopath I would have done the same.

1

u/HabANahDa 23h ago

Where is Luigi when you need him.

-11

u/Guns_Donuts 1d ago

I certainly don't condone the CEO's actions, but it sounds like the victim FAFO'd.

11

u/n1cenurse 1d ago

He told Karen to fuck off. That does not warrant being choked out...

-2

u/Guns_Donuts 1d ago

Saying "shut up, you fucking bitch" to a woman, in front of her husband, even if warranted, probably isn't going to end well. I'm not saying he needed to listen to her, but he'd of been better off just ignoring her.

11

u/n1cenurse 1d ago

She would have been better off not trying to tell someone that's not affecting her, whatsoever, how to run their lives. But here we are. I'm confused why she was so pressed that he was dancing with no shoes on? Like wtaf?

2

u/Guns_Donuts 1d ago

I agree with you on all counts.

7

u/alanamil 1d ago

It says he came across the room, "Hearing M.A.’s response, Kenneth was seen on surveillance footage crossing the room to confront him. He allegedly grabbed him by the throat and threw him to the floor." so it was not in front of her.. He could have told the guy to F Off, or just got his wife and walked away. People with to much alcohol are not a good thing to confront.

-4

u/Guns_Donuts 1d ago edited 1d ago

It says that he heard him tell her to "STFU you stupid bitch". Drunk or not, that's usually not going to elicit a favorable response. 🤷🏻‍♂️

-6

u/Buck_Roberts 1d ago

I’m kind of with the CEO on this one

2

u/ReasonableGator 19h ago

The CEO went too far but the barefoot dancer could have been less cruel to Mrs. CEO.
