Question Mosquitos and other bugs in stateroom/balcony?

Hi there, currently on our second cruise with MSC. Been at sea for three days because our stop at Ocean Cay got cancelled due to weather. Suddenly today we have been seeing mosquitoes and little crawlers on and around the balcony/glass door. Is this normal? Why is this happening? It is about 60 degrees and we’re traveling in the North Atlantic near New York but several miles from shore and jt is really moist and foggy. Never seen bugs until today on either cruise.

Always bugs and other flying animals around ships, even when they are out to sea. They will stay close to the ship, and try to find warm spots to land (like your cabin balcony door).

We had a small finch type bird on our balcony while sailing between Hawaii and the mainland.

Tell the mosquitoes they have to stop biting because they didn’t pay for the drinks package

One time I fell asleep with the balcony door open while sailing up the Mississippi river into new Orleans. Woke up with hundreds of mosquitoes covering the walls and myself. It was really foggy too
