That's what I was thinking. Imagine the squeaking.

This is all about the game; spectators be damned!

Considering where this photo was taken, and the stone benches on the far side, seems like there is a decent provision for spectators

Looks like a court that Michael Jordan would face a bunch of Looney Tunes characters in.

An mma arena in one of these would be insane

That's really cool, would be fun to play on a court like that.

Great pics for Instagram.

People underestimate how much China cares about their image.

People also underestimate how much china loves basketball. There are courts everywhere.

Cause it's cool.

The place would still be echoing “Defense! Defense!” as the home team takes a shot clock violation

I wonder what unknown human history could be buried underneath that court.

Are there any other basketball courts like this in the world? That would be dope to travel to different basketball courts like this around the world..

So this is the cave from the avatar where they made a party for fire nation kids right?

1

u/sirfannypack 2d ago

Did they run out of room to build somewhere else?

1

u/ghostpanther218 2d ago

If only there was a wrestling ring like this.

u/Cadiz92 2d ago

I remembered spending countless of hours in NBA Street V3 on my Xbox back then and this needs to be one of the playable courts in the game 😂

The danger is definitely there; basically anywhere you've got rock on an incline you've got a very small chance of being maimed or killed.

I saw a massive piece of rock break off a cliff face in Yosemite about fifteen minutes after we arrived. It sounded like thunder when it hit the valley floor. We spent several days hiking in the shadow of cliffs exactly like it.

I think it's an easy threat to ignore because A. It's totally unpredictable and random, and B. The only way to avoid it would be incredibly limiting.

and its limestone… which breaks of easily thats why limestone mountains have a lot of cliffs and are ‘pointy’. dunno y u get downvoted…

No jumping for a loose ball on the sidelines. No fat, rich guy to land on, just rock.

Those stone walls are way too close the court for an actual competitive game with adults.
