my coworker unironically said this. "It's harsh but a recession is necessary to get us out of the hole that we're in. They can mess it up bad but I have faith they'll play their cards right"

Never knew the economy HAD to get drastically worse and make people's retirement funds worth monopoly money so we can maybe do just as well or worse than what we were doing before Trump 2.0

Anyone who was alive and watching politics during this time knows from their own experience that this literally happened.

The long standing criteria for what counter as a recession was technically met under biden, and it was attempted to be redefined which lead to a definition war and the page eventually being locked.
