Hands Off 2025 - Eugene, OR
Some of the protesters starting to show up on the outskirts of where the event will be held later. You won’t find it on the news but it’s obvious the people are demanding change and they want it now!

I’ve also stopped purchasing anything from companies and businesses who supported the campaign or are supporting this administration’s agenda.

Is there a list of them somewhere?

I’m not sure. As an example: I was buying a new Fitbit (they have donated mostly to Democratic candidates), and I did not want to buy it from Target, Walmart or Amazon. I could have ordered it from the website, but I wasn’t sure how long the shipping would be. Then I decided to look up Best Buy’s contributions. Even though they have donated to both parties, they did not donate to DT. They have also kept their DEI policies, and was named a 2023 “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion.” it took me two extra minutes to research that, and I would rather spend my money at BB than the other companies mentioned above.
Anyway, maybe we should be keeping a list— for national and local businesses.

From Google sourced from Wikipedia - “In March 2024, Best Buy agreed to block donations by employee resource groups to eight LGBT organizations, following threats of shareholder-related action from conservative advocacy groups, over their support for access to gender affirming care for trans minors. “ Danggggg. Probably should have researched that just a little bit more lol. Can’t believe you gave money to these FASCiSTS! That’s what you call them right?

Google is not a source: it’s a search engine, genius. And what you just shared doesn’t tell the full picture. But man, great research from your source… “Google.” I see that you edited your comment to include “Wikipedia” but your former comment said Google pulled up “Wikipedia via AI.” Ohhh did my pointing out of your bad research skills make you insecure? 😂

Puvlicsquare helps a lot. It'll show you a map that you can search by city with businesses that submit to it (there's more than you'd think, 24 last time I checked) to filter out bad apples. They're mostly what you'd expect, tbh - plumbers, construction workers, mechanics, etc.

My mom has been there and it’s her first protest ever. It’s good to see Eugene all fired up like this

I'm in Mapleton, and had to go into Florence to get some cat food, and they were already lined up on the 101 from Safeway to the 126 junction. That was about noon. Gave everyone a supportive toot on the horn as we went by and a thumbs up. Wish I could have been with them; hopefully I can plan my time better and be there for the next one.

I was there protesting the fact the Education Secretary said she didn't know whether they would cut funding to K-12 schools just because they have African American history classes. (I wasn't actually there just for that, but I wanted a concrete example from just the last couple days)

For reasons of safety, Stay off the curb! And stop asking people to honk their horns. Horns are only meant to be used in emergences and political protests are not an emergency.

If all of these people picked up 5 pieces of trash on their way home from their fun event……………………

That would be doing something useful in Oregon. Can't have that can we?

What’s interesting to me, is that none of you can recognize any good that has been done in the last 2.5 months. You can disagree with some things while agreeing with others. This world is not black and white.
But judging by these comments and the need to protest, the following seems true.
You don’t agree that Mexico sending thousands of soldiers to help secure the southern boarder is a good thing.
You don’t agree that it’s a win that Canada is only now saying it’d drop their SUBSTANTIAL tariffs on us down to Zero if we do the same.
You don’t agree that Trump negotiating Venezuela to house the world’s most cruel terroristic ANIMALS is a good thing.
You don’t agree that Trump getting Panama to not renegotiate with China is a good thing, as far as the canal and trade is concerned.
You agree that we should be funding the Ukrainian war for a nation that does not align with any of your leftist views and condemns and imprisons the LGBTQ+ community.
You’re mad that we didn’t tariff Russia, a country who is sanctioned that cannot trade with us.
You don’t support us doing, at 50% capacity, unto other countries as what they do unto us. You are Globalists, not American first.
You’re unhappy about TRILLIONS of investment from massive corporations being committed in a matter of weeks. Bidens “build back better” generated how many trillions in investments again?……
You do not want American to be a manufacturing/steel/tech powerhouse. Even though manufacturing and steel production is exactly what kept us and the world safe during ww1 & ww2, because we were an economic machine due to these two industries.
You are okay with wasteful government spending and employment. Take the politics out of this and the potential “fraud.” You’re really going to sit there and think all departments of gov are the absolute most efficient they can be? You truly believe there is no errors in us cutting checks for suspicious entities? You’re up in arms about potential VA job cuts but you don’t want us to cut programs for BS programs in other countries, money which could be used to better programs like the VA.
You do NOT support Laken Riley, nor her family, nor the Laken Riley act???
You’re mad that Trump secured the release of six American hostages in Venezuela, two Americans in Afghanistan, an American-Israeli citizen in Hamas captivity, a Pennsylvania teacher in Russian captivity, and an American citizen in Belarus — bringing the total number of American hostages released under Trump to 11.
You’re upset that Trump is being FIRM with Iran, which poses a threat and would likely start ww3.
You’re mad that Trump Administration arrested Mohammad “Jafar” Sharifullah, the ISIS-K terrorist who orchestrated the attack at Abbey Gate, Afghanistan, that claimed the lives of 13 heroic U.S. service members.
You are not feminist, you cannot be if you support non biological women competing against biological women/girls. Women’s rights are being stripped away by the lgbtq community, and you’re okay with FORCING this upon women/girls.
You’re mad that President Trump banned funding to UNRWA — a United Nations agency that employed hundreds of Hamas and jihad operatives.
You’re mad that Trump is turning education power back to the STATES, where it is more tailored for their direct citizens.
You do not want IVF available to families who otherwise and previously could not afford it.
You believe Biden acted swiftly and properly to the Helene Hurricane, but are mad at not Cali but mad at Trump for his level of swift action??…..
These are all things you don’t support huh? Wild…..

Thank you for posting this! I hope that these protests start to happen more frequently. 👏
