Treatment Regimen Natural Alternatives?

Are there any natural alternatives for female hair loss for a woman in her late 20s? It really needs to be natural in case of pregnancy. It absolutely must work. Please advise. Thank you so much.

Important caution: natural does not always mean safe during pregnancy — ALWAYS check with a medical provider, even for supplements and oils

Yessssss. A thousand times yes. People think that things like rosemary oil are safe during pregnancy because it is natural- but it isn’t.

Anything that works will basically be a medicine. You have very few options. Depending on the treatment, PRP may be doable until you get a positive pregnancy test. And LLLT should be okay. That’s about it. Again, check in with your obgyn about EVERYTHING. Many things do not have much data, and require a conversation between you and your obgyn about potential risks versus benefits.

There is nothing natural that is proven to work 100%, even medications don’t work for everyone.

I have seen a bit of a difference with microneedling

microneedling with oiling once a week is great! I saw a big difference with that.

Do you do the microneedling yourself? Just looking for recommendations on brands and models. Thank you!

Yes I do it myself. To start I ordered a .25 mm one off amazon. Then moved up to .50 once I was use to it. I would suggest a dermastamp versus a dermaroller. Only because if you have long hair it can get caught in the roller.

You may lose hair post-partum anyway because of hormones, it’s usually temporary. Not worth taking supplements etc until you’re past the shedding phase honestly.

You can use red light therapy probably, but ask your doctor or check the research

I personally did see some improvement with the Divi supplements, but I don’t know if they are pregnancy safe just because I’ve never looked into it. Supplements don’t work for everyone, but this one did help me

You can add in a prenatal vitamin. You’d want to be taking one anyway. Confirm the brand with your Dr. Many get extra growth while pregnant too. 🫶🏼

Definitely check with a doctor, but you can look into red light therapy or rosemary oil with scalp massage.

My hair is fine and thin and tends to get water logged when washing. I coat it with coconut oil before washing and it seems to help protect it in the shower.

I’ve also had success with the plated exosome serum, but it is so expensive.
