Unfortunately, selfcare is not high on her list and winterfloof mode is a b*tch - she WILL 🤬 tell you what to do with that brush so we send her to the groomers every so often for a spa day (brush out/whatever needs doing). One time it was so bad, she came back with a lion cut. 😳🤣

I would just like to thank whoever recommended these cat perches in the last post I made of Morty! I can say he loves it and they are so sturdy ❤️
Thank you again!

Just accidentally discovered this subreddit and it’s literally what describes my beautiful boy. I’ll always defend him, he’s just fluffy not fat!! 😭😂

Sorry if this post is all over the place, I wrote a whole post and I guess the draft didn’t save.
Firstly, thanks to all the comments on my last post! You guys are so kind and Mia is very appreciative.
Mia finally got to come home from the vet on Monday night!! She’d been staying there since Wednesday. She ended up being septic from some sort of GI infection / disease. The doctors did so many test, but so far, there is no confirmation on what started everything. Mia’s GI tract was super inflamed and her colon had several issues, which led to fluids leaking into her abdomen and chest cavities. Once they identified that she was septic, they drained her fluids (400ml in the abdomen and 100ml in her chest!!!!) and started aggressive treatment. She was on protein fluids and received plasma and is also still on a few steroids and antibiotics. I think they started all that on maybe Friday, idk all the days blur together, but that was when my sweet girl finally started to improve!!
I really thought I was going to lose her and I was distraught, but her amazing vet team pulled her through!
She’ll have to work her way back to Flonker status, she got a pretty wacky shave job for her ultrasounds and she lost a ton of weight. She finally ate for the first time in a week and has been wanting to eat non stop ever since!!
