We're never going to financially recover from this...
But for real, America is largely an ideal and a lot of what we have is built on years of reputation. Trump has torpedoed all of that. Other nations can no longer take us on our word or count on mutual aid. It's very sad. I never thought I would live to see the day where America just... withers away.

The danger is in staying silent, believing the lies and thus turning fascist by simply from non-action. Let the despair anger you, not paralyze you into inaction.
Look at how Germany has become a global contender and leader now. It's possible to recover.
We need to resist because the longer this crap goes on the worse it's going to be. And the America emerging now is going to be drastically different than the one at Christmas 2024. T

We are way down the road from tarnished. US prosperity is decrepit to dusty nonexistant, like a poorly kept mummy, many millenia old. Just tarnished sounds pleasant in comparison to reality.
