Question am i fucked?
we have a pledge hike this weekend, and we are meant to stay the night at the house so that we can leave early in the morning. i had a lot of work come up and my grades in classes are slipping, so i told the pledge master that i couldn’t go because i had too much work to do. turns out he got mad and my pledge class got fucked because i didn’t go to the house, and he said that he will deal with me on monday. should i just drop? i don’t know if everyone’s just hammered. but seems like everyone just hates me now.

Don’t drop, but you’re gonna get fucked and deserved to get fucked. If the rest of your pc managed their work a head of time so they could be there and you decided not to you deserve everything that’s coming your way

You will be fine. You picked school as your first priority which you are suppose to do Who's decision was it to stay overnight at the house? I did a similar thing when pledging but it was my pledge class who decided to stay the night in the house. I got a lot of calls that night and kind of had a melt down over it. Threaten to quit. My pledge educator and some actives made some adjustments because of it. They realize they were pushing us a little to hard and actually told the rest of my pledge class that we shouldn't have over night stays at the house going forward.

Stay with it. But be told, there’s three aspects to college life. Grades, your frat, your girl. Two of those you can manage well at the same time, three will get hard. Take your time to study, but beware that from the start of the evening your ass belongs to your brothers, so plan around that and do everything well. It‘s just that you all got fucked, but you shouldn’t drop.

Work on time management. However, school work a must be a priority. Do not let your grades slip. Your PC and PM will get angry with you and you will likely deserve any punishment, but hold it together and keep going. You can do this.

Remember how you had to write a paper if you missed a chorus concert? Gonna experience that but in the pledge world

You failed your Pledge Brothers by failing to be prepared in your classwork - and so your Pledge Brothers had to carry their own load, plus they had to carry your load in your absence, plus they were punished for your failure.
If this experience pulls your Pledge Class together so that Pledge Brothers are actively assuring everyone has their work done (watching out) then the experience is worthwhile. If your Pledge Class has not been productively hazed to pull them together, then they will turn on you, and shortly thereafter turn on the Actives, and shortly thereafter turn on one another.

It’s a big deal but not a big deal, don’t drop and work on time management

This probably isnt even the dumbest thing a pledge did this week. Just accept the consequences and stay with it
