Pronunciation Can someone rate my accent?
https://voca.ro/1cBhlk8U6HXS I'm reading the lyrics of a French song I used to listen to as a kid before I even started learning French. I can't tell what my accent sounds like to native French speakers, so I was wondering if you could guess where I'm from and if I have any particularities?
Merci

Your accent is pretty good actually, it's not a native accent like others pointed it out but still pretty advanced and understandable.
The thing i noticed the most is that the last consonants are a bit long. For example i heard "j'en ai rien à faireuh" instead of "faire", which is something i noticed east asians tend to do a lot so if you're from there it's okay! But overall good job and good luck 🤭

Your mother tongue must be a Romance language. I'd say Spanish.

Personally, it’s your vowels.
I would try to mimic how Indochine sings them.
Great song !

Native here. Congrats! I understood everything you said and it’s impossible for me to say where you’re from.

Not a native but somewhat advanced, I'd say your accent is pretty good as it's clear and understandable. There are some things that are a little bit off, like the rhythm (which will probably come with time) and the vowels. From the vowels what specifically stood out to me were the schwa sounds ("e" / "uh"); I think you pronounce them a little bit too hard in some words, like "besoin". The schwa should sound like the vowel sound between the th and the m in "rhythm"
As a tip I'd say what helped with my accent a great amount was trying to imitate French people as closely as possible; in the beginning it may feel a bit funny, but if you imitate as hard as you can, everything from the sounds to the rhythm, eventually it becomes automatic. Of course you don't have to do everything perfectly from the start; what I like to do for instance is focusing on a specific feature, be it the nasal vowels or the little puff of air you can hear in many French vowels
