Pretty much what the title says, when I try to game atmI end up playing the same handful of games over and over again. Any suggestions welcome but preferably something relatively modern (within the last 10 years) and with an element of scif/fantasy

Non-gamer seeking advice

So, I have this really good lifelong friend and she's into zelda, animal crossing, genshin, stardew valley, and a bunch of other stuff probably, but she is particularly into Zelda.

Now, her 25th birthday is next year and I would like to get her something she'd, like, be obsessed with. She got me a first edition of a book she isn't really into, but I am, so I'm thinking of getting her something Zelda related. However, I'm not a gamer and don't know much, just snippets of what she told me over the years.

I would appreciate any ideas, thank you in advance. I hope this is okay to post here; I wasn't sure where else to post. In the Zelda subreddit she might see this post😅

Just facts. Delays and costs are going to be astronomical for US gamers, console and PC alike.

It's time for gamers to pause and ask what is worse: "DEI in gaming" or crippling gaming prices.

Is exclusion worth the cost or would you rather have a space where everyone feels welcome and can actually afford to play? Should have always been common sense.

I’m a non-gamer need to know what I’m looking at here. I know these items are from a PlayStation Rockband game but are there different versions? We’re either going to donate it or possibly sell it if people think it has any value. Any help we could get is greatly appreciated. Thanks people!

Microtransactions form

hello, I'm a 16 year old high-school student and as my yearly project we're researching how much people spend on video games. This form takes about 3 minutes to complete and I would really appreciate it💖

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScJZwVk1ThbYiqlwwkzeapjjO02L-xFi_-FNiHL7GqWZQbz0g/viewform?usp=dialog

we do NOT ask for any personal information nor this is an autopromotion, we're just curious about an outcome of this question :3

Get frost or get lost

Have y'all see the uproar for Emma frost on marvel rivals? And I mean the new skins like they really need to spew their " it's sexist" "it's dehumanizing" or " it's UnEmPoWeRInG!" bs for the N-th time. Shut up, enjoy your woke slop and get lost so I can enjoy my glorious games

It's like they suddenly regret promoting all that woke shi into good games that then made them bad so now they yell at the rest of us as if it was our problem

Inverted vs atandard players. Which do you prefer?

I was always a standard player. Outside of using joystick games like IL2-Sturmovick I never played with inverted controls. A fried turned me onto practicing with it when we would play Battlefield 1 and since then I now cant turn back. Its like I never played a game before and my first thing I do in the settings with every game is invert the Y axis. Do you find one more comfortable than the other? Does it help you more to have one or the other (especially ind FPS games where I found my twitch to be quicker) and do you feel out of place using the old controls without the inversion? For the die hards om the other side that like normal up and down controls: have you tried inversion and didnt like it or is it more muscle memory?

Discussion Split Fiction

Would anyone like to play with me Split Fiction on Steam using the Dodi Repack method? I'm from Romania and I'm usually free to play from 8 PM till 12 AM. We won't be chatting via microphone, just texting when needed on Steam, also we'll be watching all cutscenes and trying out bonus games if there are any.

Discussion Has This Ever Happened to Anyone Else??!? (CVS)

Hey yall. I just got into stardew valley like two days ago since I’m on a 2 week break from work and I got hooked and played for 12+ hours for about two days straight. Cute little pixel farming quest game most of y’all know it. Anyways after playing for the whole night til the morning my friends asked to hang out so I got ready and got picked up by them. As we’re driving I’m looking at road signs and my vision seems a bit off my I don’t think anything of it since I’ve had no sleep and was playing all night I just assumed it was regular eye strain. A few hours later we’re driving back and it’s nighttime now. I’m again looking at billboards, signs, anything with words on it and I can fucking make this up they’re pixelated. Pixelated like in the game. I’m seeing the real life world as if I’m in fucking pelican town. I was a little freaked out because I’ve NEVER had this happen to me after years and years of playing games. I looked up why I’m seeing things in pixels and I guess it’s a real thing. Computer Vision Syndrome? Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience because I’d love to hear more about this lmfao. Gonna get sleep and take a break from stardew 🥲
