They were already safe and waiting at the base of the building in a crowd, but the jump was crazy and can be seen on video if you find it.

ā€œDad jeopardizes himself to be with family in dying moments, thankfully they were all ok in the end no thanks to anyone in particular because what tf would he have done itā€™s a f*cking earthquakeā€¦ Jump was sick thoā€ is too wordy

Look, 1/3 the dads in the world won't even stick around for their own kids birth, so, this is pretty sweet!

That's great.

Why is this motivational?

u/josephfry4 2d ago

It reminds us that ANYONE can be a hero.

Oh.

So can I post scenes from the Matrix?

I don't know. I'm not a moderator--nor have I ever been on this page before. I recommend checking their rules for posting.

Itā€™s putting that seed in your brain that YOU could save your family during a natural disaster and become a hero of heroes. A quick little daydream of mama bear super strength. Ahhh. Dopamine. Updoot. Next!

To be fair he may not have known they got out safe at that moment

I'm confused.

Most articles say he took the leap to save his family.

Save his family from what? A completely unavoidable earthquake?

I mean, this high up in the building, aside from being closer to his family, should the worst happen, there's absolutely nothing he could have done to actually save his family, right?

What do you expect a man to do in this situation? Just say, ā€œWell, logically theyā€™re probably dead. Iā€™m just going to leave.ā€ No, heā€™s going to do whatever he can to save his family, no matter if his chances of being able to do anything are low to none. Because if he did nothing Iā€™m sure heā€™d never be able to live with himself.

Bro dropped FACTZ

It's very possible that part of the structure broke and trapped them in a room or pinned them down or something as simple as someone fell and hit their head, rendering them unconscious. Most buildings are earthquake proof in that they don't collapse, but its still dangerous. Especially since fires accompany earthquakes quite frequently making sure people get help or evacuated in a timely fashion is very important in the event that someone is stuck or injured.

u/JE3MAN 2d ago

You are right, it is indeed possible that they might have been trapped. However, I feel there was absolutely no way he could have known what actually happened to them at yhe time he jumped.

To be honest, despite all the literal leaps of faith he took, the real miracle is all of them turning up ok despite that disaster.

I understand him trying to protect his family and I'm glad they're all safe but this could have very easily gone south real quick.

3

u/Zepertix 1d ago

No, ofc he didn't know, but that doesn't really change anything right? If you think there is a high chance a loved one is in danger you'll do what you can to check on them, maybe not literally building jump but you know what I mean

u/NgYongJIe 2d ago

Hear me out, maybe, just maybe, dad has superpowers but are afraid of letting people know. He went in there just in case things got worse so he can save his family and possibly others (if he has a mask or is able to take his glasses off).

1

u/Obviously_Ritarded 1d ago

He doesnā€™t know if they got out safely at that time. We get to look at this from the future point of view with the knowledge of the situation we have now. What you you do in that moment when you think your loved ones are still up there?

And people still say men are not needed! Psh!

10

u/Zepertix 2d ago

Literally nobody says that except in the context where they just want to be left alone because men keep walking all over them
