Captured Apparition Strange image Captured at Work in Wyoming

I work in the oil and gas industry and went to one of our plants in very rural Wyoming. I was taking some photos for work purposes and when I went back to look I was shook.

Top/Mid Left Side of the photo.

Us construction workers now have to deal with ghosts on top of the stress of working with a crane

u/Lala5789880 2d ago

Get OSHA back here!

u/Extreme_Basis6480 2d ago

That ghost is not wearing a hard hat or safety vest

27

u/KitchenSandwich5499 2d ago

Duh! Thats why he (she?) is a ghost now ;p

8

u/SixxVasile 1d ago

That was good

6

u/JunkMail0604 1d ago

Looks like it has hearing protection, though…..

8

u/NotAPossum666 2d ago

Remember, you can always find what it's bound to and burn it. If it's on the rig, no problem.

2

u/NaNsoul 1d ago

Eh I think they will like it. Looks like a pretty ghost lol

u/taiji_lou 2d ago

No, that's just State inspection that's how they do that now

u/killachap 2d ago

How the hell do people notice these things!?

36

u/nikongurl 2d ago

I wonder too. Even when they point it out to me I never see it!

8

u/Snaxolotl_431 1d ago

I was taking some photos for work purposes

My guess is OP was studying these pictures pretty intently and they just got a good look at the apparition seen here

Saw a post on Insta asking why there aren't any 2007 ghosts just screaming "It's Britney, bitch!" all day long.

I see a young lady in a nightgown and wearing a bonnet with ruffles on the edges 😱

41

u/Attacos 2d ago

Same actually and those black eyeholes.

4

u/Spiritual_Alarm_3932 2d ago

Yip, I can see something similar

10

u/DuckWithPolio 2d ago

Looks like she's hanging there lol

u/GhettoHippopotamus 2d ago

This ain’t no Union warehouse, get yo ass back to work

21

u/Spiritual_Alarm_3932 2d ago

Yes, and why is the ghost just standing around? It should be working too!!

38

u/kittyotterpancake 2d ago

Not a lot of these spook me, this one does, sheesh.

19

u/Pioneer83 2d ago

One has to question how this “ghost” was spotted. In the normal occurrence of events, even looking over a photo for work purposes, would you really stare at this photo long and hard enough to be able to make this “ghost” out?

23

u/lucys_momma 2d ago

I am in HR and conducting an investigation and was zooming in.

37

u/FetusGoulash420 2d ago

This is definitely from one of those “add a ghost to pictures” apps. But let’s say for argument sake that it’s not.. do ghosts have their own light source, giving them shadows and depth? Because the lighting in the photo, does not match the lighting of the “ghost” The shadows are all wrong.

Also, given the location.. why would the “ghost” be hovering so high up in the air?

13

u/ochie927 2d ago

"Why would the ghost be hovering so high up in the air" - Are you concerned that the ghost might fall to her death?

6

u/CranberryMission9713 1d ago

Maybe is standing on a floor of a building that used to be there?

5

u/Slightly_Psychooo 2d ago

So there IS a ghost!!

15

u/lucys_momma 2d ago

It definitely is not. I took this photo and did not add anything to it.

6

u/Snaxolotl_431 1d ago

Regardless of what OP says, the fact that the digital artifacts line up perfectly is a significant detraction from the skepticism angle.

It’s just too perfect. Either OP has some SERIOUS skills in Adobe/Gimp, or this photo is genuine.

Swamp gas

10

u/Swimming-Fly-5805 2d ago

Exhaust from the equipment. Or a grey alien is haunting a demolition shop for some reason. I think exhaust is a little more likely. Cool pic though. Have my upvote.

12

u/lucys_momma 2d ago

The plant was not yet operational and we were in a stop work for an investigation. Nothing was running.

It is a separation facility for helium.

2

u/Swimming-Fly-5805 5h ago

This guy brings up helium extraction and I get blocked for suggesting that the g a s s e s could be responsible, seeing as helium rises and carries particles with it. That could be pollen and dust suspended in the helium-rich air above the denser layer of oxygen-rich air. And again, for the record, I do believe in the paranormal.

5

u/Snaxolotl_431 1d ago

That was my first thought as well. After all, pareidolia is one hell of a psychological phenomenon.

But this seems too intentional to be our minds playing tricks on us. There’s too much deliberateness in the shape and the details.

OP, do you know the history of the plant?

6

u/Street_Leather198 2d ago

Where's her PPE? Wait till OSHA SEES THIS! NO HARNESS NO GLASSES BOOTS HARDHAT. Send her a$$ home. She's a liability.

9

u/Bulltothemax753 2d ago

It’s the ghost of 401ks everywhere

2

u/Laurabengle 1d ago

Too soon!

Lens flare

4

u/Monkeyb8te 2d ago

Super cool lens artifact, but the lens is dirty.

2

u/Curithir2 2d ago

I honestly can't tell if it's on the lens, or on the window of the crane.

Another picture from another angle, change of lighting might help . . .

1

u/_dead_and_broken 2d ago

What do you mean on the window of the crane? There's nothing on the window of the crane.

The "ghost" in the picture is floating up in the rafters of the ceiling. OP put a second picture zoomed in of it on the main post.

5

u/amazin1one 2d ago

That’s pretty clear.. scary 💩

3

u/Marty_McFly_Junior 2d ago

This pic is quite interesting

3

u/Poperama74 2d ago

It’s the health and safety officer in stealth mode

3

u/Prestigious_Zebra359 2d ago

I can't make out of the image what you guys were seeing. The photo is too pixelated.

3

u/AKA_June_Monroe 2d ago

There's something odd about this photo.

3

u/atomicmcchicken 2d ago

lmfao why do i see a cat wearing a dress

10

u/itsakevinly_329 2d ago

It’s glare from the light below. Let’s attempt common sense before assuming it’s a ghost.

9

u/HumbleBaker12 2d ago

Pareidolia

0

u/Wonderful_Store_5634 2d ago

What is that?

2

u/_dead_and_broken 2d ago

Pareidolia is the tendency to perceive faces (or any type of object, really) in things that have a random or ambiguous pattern.

If you see a bunny shaped cloud, congratulations, you've just experienced pareidolia. If you see a face in a window, but it's just reflections of a tree's leaves, that's pareidolia.

It happens to everyone.

2

u/Wonderful_Store_5634 2d ago

Cool. I didn't know there was a word for that but I find myself thinking about it when I don't see a face but people describe a face. Then I see it but only because I see what they think they are seeing when I know it's just a camera blur.

2

u/XxCroisssantsxX 2d ago

It’s a alien or cat

2

u/Squirrellmaster 2d ago

She must be hanging around that area or previous property that's there. Wow that's pretty defined.

2

u/Ok_Solid_4498 2d ago

Smart object, gaussian blur, reduce opacity, minimal editing?

2

u/DJMadAdam 1d ago

It’s aliens.

2

u/ladyJbutterfly14 1d ago

She looks pissed

2

u/ihaveadarkedge 1d ago

Late to this party, although I'm sure it's been said, this is the opposite lens flare from the light at the bottom, or added post-edit.

2

u/Curithir2 1d ago

Look at the strong light source stage-left of the crane, and the window in the door of the crane. Reflection, to my eye.

Now follow that line into the rafters, which is where I would expect a lens flare. As I said, it's creepy and I like it, but . . .

2

u/stickymom 23h ago

That’s a ghost

2

u/Vast-Mycologist7529 17h ago

It's ghosting you and looks pissed!!!

2

u/ablutomania 16h ago

I don’t see it as a human woman, but more as an alien. The nightgown could also be some type of robe. I think “it” is wearing something on its head as well, with what goes out to the side as huge floppy dog ears, and then up on top into a triangle shape - looking more as a headpiece than any type of naturally occurring hair or head shape.

So I’m calling djinn, or some other kind of interdimensional or astral traveling being.

6

u/CaptainRogersJul1918 2d ago

Wow! You should get a million dollars for this photo. That’s a ghost!

4

u/satanstokerpoker 2d ago

Idk why it almost looks like a cat to me with a long human body lol but I think it’s just another case of pareidolia

2

u/Spiritual_Alarm_3932 2d ago

A good case of pareidolia if so!

3

u/McFarquar 2d ago

It’s a tariff

2

u/overbread 2d ago

Probably has a reasonable explanation but i still like it!

2

u/Snaxolotl_431 1d ago

Just from looking at it, there’s nothing that jumps out at me to signify this as being ungenine. The artifacting from the low-light and digital zoom lines up perfectly and there aren’t any cuts or jagged edges. I can’t just write this off.

u/monkeypants5000 2d ago

Christopher Columbus lifting a tankard of ale to his lips.

1

u/dDogStar568 2d ago

Is that Frieza?

We should get Kakarot out here.

1

u/Available-Lobster-73 2d ago

Oh I see it. A girl in an old-timey dress. But her nose looks giant.

1

u/Spookysweetblye 2d ago

Woah! I didn’t see the first time but woah that’s cool

1

u/Longshadowman 2d ago

Is it Casper the gentle ghost?

1

u/Slightly_Psychooo 2d ago

OSHA approved?

1

u/DJW6805 2d ago

Looks like the princess from super Mario

1

u/cmmoore307 2d ago

Ew. Fuck that lol

1

u/greenhouse147 2d ago

Why are they always pre 1930s ghosts?

1

u/LectureOrganic1250 2d ago

OP, did you shoot this image from behind a pane of glass per chance?

4

u/lucys_momma 2d ago

No, I was standing in the facility taking photos of the whole inside of the facility due to an investigation (HR). It was about 80% constructed at the time. A guy had a heart attack who was working there and I was doing the documentation.

I was standing in a gravel floor. It was a separation facility extracting helium byproduct from wells.

1

u/LectureOrganic1250 2d ago

Gotcha. Wanted to rule out a possible glare from the glass. Welp! You got me stumped sir! Are there any stories regarding a little girl at that location?

3

u/lucys_momma 2d ago

I’m not sure. It was my only visit there.

I asked some of the guys that worked there and they did say it was a commonly used path for people migrating west in the 1800s so who knows. This was taken in 2017, I just found this group and thought it would be fun to share!!

1

u/Shazbot_2017 2d ago

Archaeologist here, I can verify as to finding old trails out west. Have worked in numerous states out that way. She looks in period.

1

u/EdgarFrogandSam 2d ago

A floating woman in the radiator from Eraserhead.

1

u/xkillingxfieldx 2d ago

I like her hairdo.

1

u/onions_and_ogres 2d ago

shes confused is all

1

u/Shazbot_2017 2d ago

I swear I seen her on Red Dead 2

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Arm4627 2d ago

Looks like a pink bunny in a garden eating tomato plants.

1

u/Murphy-Brock 2d ago

Very freaky. What is the bright illumination directly below it near the floor?

I think almost anytime there’s a light source nearby. It’s light flare. And there’s an open door right below it.

1

u/Wasabi_Constant 3h ago

Creepy old boss man?

1

u/Ready_Perspective_95 2d ago

Well that's creepy.

1

u/achervig 2d ago

Yeah this one really has an air of authenticity about it. Spooky.

1

u/InternationalPay8807 2d ago

HOLY SHIT dats a ghost

1

u/A_Stoned_Viking 2d ago

OK. So I'm usually hard to convince, however, even i seen this one almost immediately. This is creepy and cool all at the same time.

1

u/texasguy67 2d ago

I am jaded when it comes to ghost pics but this one made me look twice.

0

u/Witch_Moon398 2d ago

Was someone hung on that property at some point? literally looks like someone hanging, it’s really odd. I can’t believe people are calling this something else or your eyes seeing what you want- you can clearly see her arms. Face. Body. Her hair or some type of bonnet.

3

u/lucys_momma 2d ago

I’m not sure. It is in a very remote area south of Yellowstone.

0

u/Mechanical_Lady 2d ago

My old psychic roommate told me that ghosts have to stay on the same ground where they died for centuries. And that they get particularly mad when their habitat changes.

u/Wonderful_Store_5634 2d ago

It's too dark to make out anything.
