Captured Apparition Strange image Captured at Work in Wyoming
I work in the oil and gas industry and went to one of our plants in very rural Wyoming. I was taking some photos for work purposes and when I went back to look I was shook.
Top/Mid Left Side of the photo.

My guess is OP was studying these pictures pretty intently and they just got a good look at the apparition seen here

Saw a post on Insta asking why there aren't any 2007 ghosts just screaming "It's Britney, bitch!" all day long.

Yes, and why is the ghost just standing around? It should be working too!!

One has to question how this “ghost” was spotted. In the normal occurrence of events, even looking over a photo for work purposes, would you really stare at this photo long and hard enough to be able to make this “ghost” out?

This is definitely from one of those “add a ghost to pictures” apps. But let’s say for argument sake that it’s not.. do ghosts have their own light source, giving them shadows and depth? Because the lighting in the photo, does not match the lighting of the “ghost” The shadows are all wrong.
Also, given the location.. why would the “ghost” be hovering so high up in the air?

"Why would the ghost be hovering so high up in the air" - Are you concerned that the ghost might fall to her death?

Regardless of what OP says, the fact that the digital artifacts line up perfectly is a significant detraction from the skepticism angle.
It’s just too perfect. Either OP has some SERIOUS skills in Adobe/Gimp, or this photo is genuine.

Exhaust from the equipment. Or a grey alien is haunting a demolition shop for some reason. I think exhaust is a little more likely. Cool pic though. Have my upvote.

The plant was not yet operational and we were in a stop work for an investigation. Nothing was running.
It is a separation facility for helium.

u/Swimming-Fly-5805 5h ago
This guy brings up helium extraction and I get blocked for suggesting that the g a s s e s could be responsible, seeing as helium rises and carries particles with it. That could be pollen and dust suspended in the helium-rich air above the denser layer of oxygen-rich air. And again, for the record, I do believe in the paranormal.

That was my first thought as well. After all, pareidolia is one hell of a psychological phenomenon.
But this seems too intentional to be our minds playing tricks on us. There’s too much deliberateness in the shape and the details.
OP, do you know the history of the plant?

Where's her PPE? Wait till OSHA SEES THIS! NO HARNESS NO GLASSES BOOTS HARDHAT. Send her a$$ home. She's a liability.

Lens flare

Super cool lens artifact, but the lens is dirty.

u/Curithir2 2d ago
I honestly can't tell if it's on the lens, or on the window of the crane.
Another picture from another angle, change of lighting might help . . .

u/_dead_and_broken 2d ago
What do you mean on the window of the crane? There's nothing on the window of the crane.
The "ghost" in the picture is floating up in the rafters of the ceiling. OP put a second picture zoomed in of it on the main post.

I can't make out of the image what you guys were seeing. The photo is too pixelated.

It’s glare from the light below. Let’s attempt common sense before assuming it’s a ghost.

Pareidolia
0
u/Wonderful_Store_5634 2d ago
What is that?
2
u/_dead_and_broken 2d ago
Pareidolia is the tendency to perceive faces (or any type of object, really) in things that have a random or ambiguous pattern.
If you see a bunny shaped cloud, congratulations, you've just experienced pareidolia. If you see a face in a window, but it's just reflections of a tree's leaves, that's pareidolia.
It happens to everyone.

u/Wonderful_Store_5634 2d ago
Cool. I didn't know there was a word for that but I find myself thinking about it when I don't see a face but people describe a face. Then I see it but only because I see what they think they are seeing when I know it's just a camera blur.

She must be hanging around that area or previous property that's there. Wow that's pretty defined.

Late to this party, although I'm sure it's been said, this is the opposite lens flare from the light at the bottom, or added post-edit.

u/Curithir2 1d ago
Look at the strong light source stage-left of the crane, and the window in the door of the crane. Reflection, to my eye.
Now follow that line into the rafters, which is where I would expect a lens flare. As I said, it's creepy and I like it, but . . .

I don’t see it as a human woman, but more as an alien. The nightgown could also be some type of robe. I think “it” is wearing something on its head as well, with what goes out to the side as huge floppy dog ears, and then up on top into a triangle shape - looking more as a headpiece than any type of naturally occurring hair or head shape.
So I’m calling djinn, or some other kind of interdimensional or astral traveling being.

Idk why it almost looks like a cat to me with a long human body lol but I think it’s just another case of pareidolia

Just from looking at it, there’s nothing that jumps out at me to signify this as being ungenine. The artifacting from the low-light and digital zoom lines up perfectly and there aren’t any cuts or jagged edges. I can’t just write this off.

OP, did you shoot this image from behind a pane of glass per chance?
4
u/lucys_momma 2d ago
No, I was standing in the facility taking photos of the whole inside of the facility due to an investigation (HR). It was about 80% constructed at the time. A guy had a heart attack who was working there and I was doing the documentation.
I was standing in a gravel floor. It was a separation facility extracting helium byproduct from wells.

u/LectureOrganic1250 2d ago
Gotcha. Wanted to rule out a possible glare from the glass. Welp! You got me stumped sir! Are there any stories regarding a little girl at that location?
3
u/lucys_momma 2d ago
I’m not sure. It was my only visit there.
I asked some of the guys that worked there and they did say it was a commonly used path for people migrating west in the 1800s so who knows. This was taken in 2017, I just found this group and thought it would be fun to share!!

Archaeologist here, I can verify as to finding old trails out west. Have worked in numerous states out that way. She looks in period.

Very freaky. What is the bright illumination directly below it near the floor?

I think almost anytime there’s a light source nearby. It’s light flare. And there’s an open door right below it.

OK. So I'm usually hard to convince, however, even i seen this one almost immediately. This is creepy and cool all at the same time.

Was someone hung on that property at some point? literally looks like someone hanging, it’s really odd. I can’t believe people are calling this something else or your eyes seeing what you want- you can clearly see her arms. Face. Body. Her hair or some type of bonnet.

My old psychic roommate told me that ghosts have to stay on the same ground where they died for centuries. And that they get particularly mad when their habitat changes.

Us construction workers now have to deal with ghosts on top of the stress of working with a crane
