Question Is dark blonde —> white a good idea?

Post image

Hi guys! I wanna start with info that I’ve never dyed my hair (dark blonde) and since I was like 12 (huge witcher impact) I wanted to have white hair. But since I’m inexperienced with any of that stuff I wanted to ask you is (since my hair are darker) it going to severely destroy my hair?? I know it’s kinda a deep-dive since my hair have been natural my whole life, but it’s a dream I never got to grant.

Also, if I actually do it, how should I take care of them? I really don’t want my hair to fall out or something… (Girl in the photo for reference of what effect I would like)

you should add a photo of your hair so people can tell what level your blonde is. itll allow people to give you more accurate advice :)

My hair is darker than that and I bleach it white - 8ish years at this point. There will be some damage, but if you're careful and your hair is starting off healthy I don't think it'll be unmanagable.

A salon is likely safer, but I've always done it by myself and haven't had any issues.

For reference my hair is quite dark, but pretty fine. When I first bleached it it was midway down my back. I got bored and cut it short (think Geralt in the Witcher 3) but I hadnt had any issues with keeping it healthy when it was long.

Bleach IS damaging but not irreparable. Go to a professional.
