Question Can I pull off bangs?
I’ve tried many times over the years to cut my hair into bangs. I’ve only had them done by a stylist once and it was not a great salon they messed up a lot more than my bangs lol. They always end out on the sides of my face or just not looking right. I’m wondering if I went somewhere better and had them cut correctly instead of doing it myself, could they look like this example picture? Or good in any way?

Picture 3 is the closest you’ve been to good bangs. You should NOT try to establish bangs on your own without a ton of previous experience.
Yes, bangs could look good on you. I’d even say that you have a few options for bangs that would be flattering in different ways. You NEED to have a qualified stylist cut your bangs in for at LEAST the first time.
The reason you need to have a professional get your started is that they are looking at the crown of your head, from above, with an experienced eye. They can see your hair density at the front, how far back the part would need to be to give the desired thickness of the style of bang you want (this sacrifices thickness of your hair overall) and any cowlicks, thin spots, or other issues that factor into your enjoyment and ease of maintaining the proposed bangs. Most stylists also offer bang trims very inexpensively if they initial cut them in, and I’ve met a few who were willing to coach me on how to self trim.
You should not try to cut bangs in for yourself. It’s not worth the potential for error. If you can’t afford one good haircut, then start asking around for good cheap salons. I’ve seen some of my white girlfriends come out of salons geared toward black women with fantastic haircuts. My white presenting boyfriend gets the best haircuts from a barbershop where Spanish is the preferred language. Ask around. Bangs aren’t hard, but you’re not good at cutting them.
