They should have taken Al Green's lead and interrupted the speech one by one. Don't let him lie like this unimpeded. Make him stand up there all night. Cowards.

But they held up ping pong paddles... What more could they do? /s

I think if they'd held 2x with each side facing then that could have really done something /s

I probably shouldn't get mad at these ppl but why is it that these motherfucking liberals are so stupid it's taken them this long to realize what has been apparent to so many Americans since the Obama presidency?Â
Like why are these people this overwhelmingly dumb that it's taken the Republicans tea bagging them raw dong while the Democrats stand around and pout for them to finally realize the Democrats are feckless loser cucks who will never do anything for you?
Honestly I should be happy they at least have seen the light but it's blackpilling me a little.Â
Like you couldn't have realized this a year or two ago?

Because a lot of liberals are rich. Politics never affected their bottom line. Liberalism is largely aesthetic. If youâre the elder millennial who worked in NY, Chicago, LA etc. in an exposed brick office in the 2010s, or youâre the kid of a rich white suburban mom and dad, liberalism were virtuous vibes for you. Poor people already felt both parties suck, and didnât care about them. I say this as a former lib because I grew up upper middle class. Now they care because neo-Nazism sucks. Not because they believe capitalism sucks.

It can be scary to realize that NO ONE is looking out for you

u/lil_internn Mar 05 '25
Yeah I mean it IS scary tbh the world is almost entirely run by psychopaths only looking out for themselves and accepting that makes life and the view of the future very bleak

Because:
a) Iâm sure a good chunk werenât even full adults during Obamas presidency.
And
b) Propaganda. The same way millions of chuds will start to gain a semblance of class consciousness, but then throw it all away the second some Fox News host tells them trans immigrant bad.

They exist simply to act as a mechanism to maintain the status quo. How can any real policy take shape when it's redone every 4 years? I mean seriously, how does one imagine a 'democracy' making any progress when shaky policy is immediately withdrawn after the new guy steps in...
Most yanks will yell into the sky about how China is a dictatorship when in reality shit gets done and the people support their government.

This type of shit is stupid, at least hurl the signs at someone. Make a fucking scene, show that you give a SHIT. I'd take someone making armpit farts or bringing an airhorn over this middleschool tier shit.
Absolute shitheels.

This is the first time I actually sat down to watch a state of union address. I was seething the entire time. All of these people are fucking ghouls and everything they did was performative. Not a single person in the government has a fucking spine (with the exception of Al Green for doing what should have been the bare minimum). I canât believe these absolute losers are running the country. No wonder itâs going to absolute shit.

Lmao even a hardcore frothing zionist rich dumbass WASP sub like /r/Pics (whose users wept bitterly when Biden dropped out) is calling them wimps and pussies.
Are the Dems and Dem media failing to keep even the dumb neolibs in the line now? How?

I thought for sure one at a time theyâd stand up and heckle like Al Green did. Obstruct? But then they didnât.
Cowards.

u/Forbidden_Scorcery Mar 05 '25
This is why I always think itâs important to differentiate between actual ideologically committed neoliberals, and normie libs who just vote Dem because they donât think trans people should die. Shitting on and burning bridges with the latter is just destroying the chances of making more allies.

Whatâs crazy is that the DNC would rather try and become lite republicans than actually support populist policies for working Americans. The time has never been better for a socialist to step onto the national stage. Theyâd unironically win in a landslide if they werenât suppressed at every turn.

u/hipposyrup Mar 05 '25
Honestly with the frustration of libs, this is a breeding ground for the destruction of a party and an opportunity for radicalization. Now whether we achieve this is different.

They are competing for the next Republican Party, going back to its roots. The nation is going back in time in almost every step.

u/frogmanfrompond Mar 05 '25
Oh now they want to save Medicaid. What about all those times Biden gave some snarky answer about needing to cut it? Same with the post office. Theyâve been looking to privatize it forever but their fetish with âincremental changeâ always bites them in the ass because the republicans donât do that and just go full ahead with what they want.Â
