I think they mean like a really intense rendition of "rock a bye baby".
Looks like they are in good hands.

I mean, the original nursery rhyme does have the cradle nestling in the treetops (already a cause for concern), the bough being not structurally sound and breaking (if you're going to be negligently placing your child in unsafe situations at least place them in safe unsafe situations) and it culminates with the baby falling, cradle and all back to earth (I think we should really have a good talking to these parents to make sure they never make the same mistake again).

i hope you don't mean that in a dark way, i hope the babies are ok

Babies like being rocked. They literally sell motorised rocking bassinets. They are also soothed by noisy environments as it reminds them of the womb.

Baby: Maaa, lay off the yogurt for christ's sake 😑 I can hear your lactose intolerance from here

Nurses are the true heroes!

It seems like every major earthquake has footage of a group of nurses risking their lives protecting a room full of newborns in a hospital. It would make an inspirational supercut.

That is an understatement. I work in a hospital (I'm not a nurse) and its actually really impressive what the scope of their position includes.

Thank GOD corporate shows us USAian nurses appreciation with pizza parties....
8
u/isearnogle 5d ago
Do they really still do pizza parties in a hospital? For nurses? Hospitals are such lucrative businesses (the for profit ones are more obvious about it. The non profit ones somehow still make certain people very rich) the fact they still manage to exploit workers is insane!

Yes. I kid you not when I say that you're a "lucky one" if you get a pizza party AND a shitty pen with the company logo on it during Nurse Appreciation Week...The best is when you work night shift, and they only host the pizza during day shift..So, you are appreciated with cold, gross pizza...I'm looking at you, HCA 👀

Guess it must have reached China. I'm guessing Yunnan province, as these nurses were speaking Mandarin Chinese.
Scary stuff

I've seen on the Chinese sub that this was in Ruili, one of the major border towns to Myanmar in China.

they deserve recognition. They're terrified for sure and still able to protect those infants

Not from Myanmar. I heard it a woman speaking Chinese at the end of the clip.

All the news sites are sharing it today saying it's from Yunnan province in China during the Myanmar earthquake.

All the babies slept so soundly cause of the rocking. In all seriousness, thank you nurses.

After living in LA for 30+ years I have experienced some powerful quakes but a 7.7 right at the epicenter, I cannot fathom how strong it would be...terrifying.

This is terrifying, but also kind of fascinating. It’s really incredible how the fact that the bassinets are on wheels is what made them more earthquake safe. Without wheels they must’ve been more likely to fall over, especially the ones the nurses couldn’t get their hands on.
