Solved Update on Brown Dog
I had an Amazon gift card so after my original post I got one of those DNA tests. I'm not surprised on the results but I found it odd all the medium to large breeds since she is between 30-35lbs range. I then learned female American Pitbull Terriers weigh between 30-60lbs on average. I guess I thought the breed was bigger.
Also more regional information for anyone curious since I was pretty vague in my original post. She was a stray from rural Alberta, Canada. They assume from a first nation reservation. We are her 3rd owners and since she was around 2 years old at the time, that was a lot of changes for her. We got her for free on kijiji which is Canadian craigslist. She's always nervous and jumpy but loves people so much.

Open Found abandoned in a park in Alaska
Any advice on things to look more closely at to help identify this dog breed? Seems to be a pretty young puppy.

Open Our little Koda’s records just say “Lab Mix” . Any idea what he could be?
His legs are really short and he is kinda long.
My dad sees part beagle and I see lab with pit mix.

Could you help me identify the breed of my dog? Many people have said it looks like a border collie but I have never seen a black one

What are we thinking other than 10000% handsome
I haven’t done a DNA yet as like everyone else. It kind of doesn’t change anything other than my knowledge. I think he’s predominantly English staff and possibly OTB or OEB? he’s 27kg

What do you think the mix is?
Girl, 4-5 months old, she is a puppy from a family litter where the owners 2 dogs breeded. So we were told she is a mix of two breeds, both parents are 1/2 English Springer Spaniel and 1/2 Shitzu. Interesting mix! I definitely think there is some springer in there, but would love your thoughts. Picture of parents included at the end. We are thinking of doing a DNA test for fun too!

Open What breed is Ollie?
We got Ollie from a local humane society in November, where they were advertising him as a purebred golden retriever, which is obviously very wrong. He turned one this past December, and shed a TON during the winter. He is very good with people and dogs, albeit a bit vocal when he first meets them, but he warms up quickly. He's very energetic and loves to play, run, and be a part of everything we're doing. Ollie also has a very high prey drive, and will bark at anything that moves, but he is most vocal with deer and squirrels. My family and I were thinking he might have some sort of Shepard in him, but your input would be greatly appreciated!

Adoptable Dog’s Breed
This dog is listed for adoption in my city. I visited with him today but wasn’t able to get more information on him before they closed.
The shelter lists the dog as being a Plott Hound mix. He is estimated to be 8 months old. Weight of 32lbs.
What do you think he might be? And yes I understand a DNA test is the true way to know for sure. Asking best estimate.

Any ideas on what she could be?
What breeds do you think my dog is?
We've sent off for an Embark DNA test and will be happy to share the results in a couple of weeks once we get it back!
In the meantime, we'd love to hear your guesses as we're a bit stumped
Meet Freya! She's 2 years old, weighs 34 pounds, and has a sweet, highly trainable, yet incredibly energetic personality. We adopted her just a few weeks ago from a shelter, where she arrived several months prior as a stray, underweight, and pregnant. She was a fantastic mama to five puppies and came from a First Nations reserve in Southern Alberta.
Some of her most distinctive traits:
- Her tongue is nearly completely purple/blue
- She never barks but does have a very dramatic whine :)
- She has a thick double coat and sheds like crazy
- She has a fox-like tail with a white patch at the tip and super soft, foxy orange ears
- She’s obsessed with anything feathery or fuzzy (our cats' toys didn’t stand a chance!)
- She loves retrieving and will randomly bring us objects from around the house
- She had a histiocytoma removed when she was spayed
- She has a pretty strong chase instinct, though thankfully, she's been pretty good with our cats so far
We’ve also attached a photo of one of her puppies—though the father’s breed is a mystery!
What do you think she might be?

What breed is my “terrier mix”?
He is 4 months old and 23 lbs, see the last 2 pics of his mom and dad. We were told he would be 35 lbs fully grown but he has big paws and seems to be on track to be more like 50 lbs.

ID my Tess!
She’s 9 and she’s an angel. Extremely loyal, gentle, non-reactive, great with kids and other animals of all kinds. Absolutely nanny dog — always watching the children to make sure they’re safe whether she knows them or not. Aloof with non-child strangers. BIG bark.
I have her Embark results so I already know and will update, but wondering what you all will come up with. Threw in a puppy pic for good measure

Recently adopted “lab mix”
Adopted our pup a few weeks ago. She’s approximately 12 weeks old and 25 lbs. We were told she’s a lab mix, but don’t see much lab there . . .
