Idaho News [*SPOILER*] Idaho is the main setting for the Minecraft Movie. Spoiler

[lots of MC movie spoilage]

In the Minecraft Movie the only real world location is a I believe fictional city named “Chuglass.” The only other real world location referenced is a joke about Wyoming once they enter the Minecraft Overworld.

My 8-year old screamed from the excitement when the movie referenced Idaho, he’s been talking about it all evening, how he lives in “Minecraft State” and couldn’t wait to tell his cousins (they all live in a different State) that Minecraft people were in Idaho. LOL. I thought the joke was funny, as well as the potato scene but he’s over the moon. It’s his favorite game too haha.

I can confirm there is not an classroom anywhere in rural or suburban Idaho that has that much diversity in one room.

I’ll bet you $1000 that it was filmed in New Zealand and Canada.

I thought the town's name was Douglas when it was first said. I wonder which Idaho town(s) it was based on?

MINECRAFT MOVIE EASTER EGGS

“Chuglass” Idaho (we see you Chubbuck) is the main setting, known as the potato chip capital of the world.

“Dynamite Magazine” and tater tots make cameos.

Signature fragrance “velvet mischief” made in Boise.

Chubbuck makes sense with it being fairly close to Preston, where napoleon dynamite was filmed, especially with the dynamite magazine!

If that's the case then I wish A Minecraft Movie not PG rated & got the main characters armed with various types of firearms because that's an American thing to have other than the 2nd Amendment.
