Depending on what the fabric is, you could try steam or dry heat - if there's a lot of synthetic in the garment, you may not be able to use enough heat to soften the logo without damaging the fabric; rubbing alcohol can often soften paint or vinyl transfers, you may have to gently scrape the area (use a plastic knife). It may not all come off.
Assuming this is some sort of HTV, which means it's heat-bonded to the fabric.
Thanks for the ideas... A hot iron (with a cotton t-shirt as a buffer) didn't do much, but rubbing alcohol and plenty of friction with a cotton swab did remove all of the white part of the logo, now there's only a faint shadow of it.
