This is satire right? He doesn’t have 12 kids or compare tech sales with therapy 😂?

u/freshcreator 1d ago

My question is, how many different mom's?

14

u/dutchviking 1d ago

In the comment section he is even saying nr 13 is on the way...

16

u/palimpcest 1d ago

This is the first time I’ve ever seen “number” shortened to “nr.” Is that a thing now?

10

u/MsWuMing 1d ago

It is in other languages. Such as, I would presume, dutch. (See OP’s username)

4

u/palimpcest 1d ago

That’s fair. I’ve just never seen it anywhere else on reddit, regardless of nationality, til now.

6

u/MsWuMing 1d ago

Yeah, I’m German and we also do Nr. It’s sometimes hard to remember the abbreviations in other languages, especially because Nummer and number are such similar words (and number doesn’t even have an o in it lol)

Guess I fell into the r/ShitAmericansSay trap.

About the only deal this guy is capable of sealing

Well, any sales job is immersing yourself in rejection therapy https://www.rejectiontherapy.com/100-days-of-rejection-therapy. I like this one. Amusing but not too hustle culture. Really to be upset at this, I'd have to be dedicated to being upset to complain.

Cold calling is the biggest abomination in the history of capitalism.

15

u/GoYanks2025 1d ago

Don’t forget in democracy too.

I’ve made thousands of cold calls and knocked on thousands of doors on the behalf of candidates. I hated it, and nobody liked it when I called.

u/KillerPolarBear25 10h ago

not really sure about cold calling but talking to voters directly on a campaign is actually the best way for voters and political parties to engage and get a understanding of eachother. And I approve that because of public interest and participation in a democracy.

I have no problem if some election campaigners come knock on my door, even if it's from a party that I don't like, I can still reflect my concerns to them.

However, I agree with you on business sales and even missionary. They are just annoying and business cold call to personal phone should just be illegal

u/gollyRoger 1d ago

Got laid off 12 months ago and these dumb asses still cold calling my personal phone trying to get in with my old company

1

u/Bill92677 1d ago

Maybe spam?

1

u/neddiddley 1d ago

If you enjoy making phone calls to people who view setting their own eyebrows a more pleasant option than speaking with you, sure, sign yourself up.

u/Ambitious_Big_1879 1d ago

Dude I dont want to call people my entire life. This is a lame ass job

10

u/Johnnyboy10000 1d ago

I couldn't agree more. I barely like the idea of calling the people I like to talk to, and just the idea of making phone calls for doctor's appointments and stuff makes me anxious as hell. No way I could do that shit.

6

u/Ambitious_Big_1879 1d ago

With all due respect to sales people, sales is just something people get into to get rich. Nobody is passionate about cold calling.

I’m going to assume that his 12 kids are with 12 different women in 12 different countries.

2

u/freshcreator 1d ago

This was my thought as well.

u/pommefille 1d ago

Sadly a lot of tech sales dudes are exactly this mediocre, and they will throw anyone under the bus who might reveal how lazy and unknowledgeable they are. They find the equally stupid sales dude at their prospect and get them to introduce them to a decision maker then over-promise anything to get the sale and move on. Of course 90% of the sales work is done by everyone else and if they knew what they were doing they’d be 20x more successful, but the sales managers know how to make the targets low enough so that they seem like they’re doing well enough for upper management to not question it.

Pretty sure this is a joke

2

u/MyGrandmasCock 13m ago

And it was pretty good too. Solid effort.

1

u/jeffweet 12m ago

I agree but too many people in this sub seem not have the ability to discern humor

1

u/MyGrandmasCock 9m ago

Which….I think is also funny.

u/Gullible_Age_9275 1d ago

Anything that you have to sell on the phone is a big pile of shit. Nobody needs that shit, you just try to shove it down on people's throats.

1

u/JewishDraculaSidneyA 12h ago

1:500 odds you've never run a real business before. It's not fun.

"Just use content marketing and social media - Dollar Shave Club did it!"

2

u/Gullible_Age_9275 11h ago

If you have to sell your shit on the phone, it's not rwal business, it's disgusting manipulation.

I’m not a member sorry, and having seen this place for a while, I’ll try not to be 😂

2

u/trickyvinny 1d ago

Definitely satire.

1

u/rickrollisnotdead 4h ago

The fact you doublechecked and still thought it was real… this sub ffs.

His bio says “nobel prize winner of sales”.

3

u/idiotinbcn 1d ago

This is definitely satire.

2

u/Bushwazi 1d ago

Idk I feel like he is just telling on himself…

2

u/SaidwhatIsaid240 1d ago

You call me at 2am trying to cold call me…. You might ingest that phone.

2

u/orincoro 22h ago

I don’t understand how anyone can scroll LinkedIn and not see lunacy everywhere.

1

u/ButMomItsReddit 1d ago

We'll take it since it's your first :) But otherwise, I think it's a pretty funny post with a real take on sales bros.

1

u/Tufoot 1d ago

In my experience, free sales training = mandatory therapy.

1

u/cbrad2133 1d ago

Father of 12 kids...

1

u/frankiea1004 1d ago

I wouldn't be surprise if sometime in the future I see his man name in a news site headline that start with;

"A IT Saleman goes in a Rampage... "

1

u/hanimal16 Insignificant Bitch 1d ago

Are dollar menus even a thing anymore??

1

u/sith_play_quidditch 1d ago

Such a punchable face

1

u/ComicsEtAl 1d ago

I don’t like making calls.

1

u/mmt-8 23h ago

Sad but it's true. Can we say that honesty doesn't work on LinkedIn?

1

u/OrneryZombie1983 20h ago

"I can't hate him. He is so transparent in his self interest that I kind of respect him."

1

u/sushirolldeleter Agree? 18h ago

This is dripping with satire

1

u/West_Description1217 18h ago

This is 100 percent ChatGPT generated.

ChatGPT is good but I find when it tries to do humour it can be kinda cringe which is why this post is cringe.

1

u/QuietWyatt0610 17h ago

This is beyond sad

1

u/OG-BigMilky 17h ago

FUCK you cold callers. I don’t know how you got my personal number, but no, I am not interested in your niche IT product. God damnit.

1

u/64vintage 16h ago

It’s funny?

1

u/Traditional-Joke3707 12h ago

This is why he’s got 12 kids. I couldn’t read past that

1

u/ultrapcb 9h ago

actually spot on

1

u/Gladyshandbagger 4h ago

How much time in a day do they do they spend creating this word salad? Stop, just stop. We understand that you wish to sound important in your role as a burger flipper in a fast food restaurant. Just no.

1

u/growabrain-- 30m ago

Ok, but the "just say let's circle back" is so real 🤣 plus the "if you can call your ex at 2 am you can call someone else" is making me laugh. This is genuinely funny so maybe satire ?

1

u/Hiant 14m ago

12 kids?
