Universal music group won. They took out Drake before his negotiations this year (they own his music) and had the other artist on their label do it, at the Super Bowl. Fuck, they’re good. Bad news, this “not like us “ club, you are not like them, if a faceless conglomerate could smile. Real ELI5

ELI5, the OP is saying to the 5 year old stay away from drake (13 years) since hes a certified ped0. Drake is allergic to non-minors like vampires are to garlic.

Close but not quite, I the comment is asking Someone to 'explain like I'm 5' the replier is explaining to the 5 year old that they should stay away from drake until they are 18 as drake has a tendency to take advantage of minors

2

u/mwdeuce Feb 10 '25

ahhhh ok, I thought something was still off lol, thanks for clarifying

2

u/jcythcc Feb 10 '25

“tryna strike a chord and it’s probably a minor” - alluding to allegations of drake with underage girls

Despite the utter lack of any proof, why is that? Does Kendrick have proof and he protecting Drake? I know Kendrick was tight with Diddy so?

You don't say!!!

"Not Like Us" (track in the clip) by Kendrick is prob the biggest song of last year, at least in the US. It's a blatant diss record to one of the biggest artists in the world, Drake. It's 4.5 minutes of Kendrick disrespecting Drake and who he is. This particular line is a jab at the fact he has a reputation/record for hitting on young girls/minors, hence that dragged out line being a double entendre and prob the best/most singable part of a song with no real chorus

Thanks for explaining to us noobs. That's awesome. Love that questionable actions have consequences. And on a huge stage no less.

3

u/CryoAB Feb 10 '25

Its odd though since dj mustard, the person who made the beat and who was called out on stage is also an actual child groomer.

It's worth noting that, as per the New York Times, no credible allegations of impropriety have ever actually been made against Drake. By all indications, Lemar took an unfounded internet rumour - basically, a hip-hop meme - and gave it credibility by making it the basis of his diss track. There are a lot of people in this thread who are talking about Drake as if he's been dodging prosecutions and lawsuits, but by all evidence, there just don't seem to be any.

20

u/druman22 Feb 10 '25

I mean there's literally a video of Drake kissing a 17 year old on stage so it's not unfounded

18

u/Jdonn82 Feb 10 '25

And the weird videos of him and Millie Brown when she was just starting to get big after the first season of stranger things

0

u/rynhardtenau Feb 10 '25

Not defending him, but the people who paid for this show, dedicating it to two of their artists, having signed both drake and Kendrick are set to negotiate drakes contract this year, and rich people talking to each other isn’t really valid proof.

u/After-Imagination-96 Feb 10 '25

Get dragged nerd

0

u/rynhardtenau Feb 10 '25

Better dragged than eat corporate shit bought and paid for you by a company who signed both artists mentioned and are set to negotiate one of their contracts this year. Guess

It's an open secret that mega-star Drake grooms teenage girls.
