I used to play Pokemon a long time ago. Every now and then for some reason his streams pop up in my suggestions. For anyone actually interested this is 'coops collection'.
TLDR: There was a rumor that burr and Billy Corgan of the smashing pumpkins were lost half brothers and Howie Mandell recently brought them together without Burr being made aware ahead of time and it seemed to annoy them both. He’s since made an apology
I stan this theory, I can see the fanfic of Bill being the jaded older brother but Coop is just so sweet and pure that it inspires him to be the chaotic good he became.
I’ve met him irl, he’s local to me, and he’s every bit as nice and generous as his videos make him out to be. He was super nice to my daughter and just cool in general.
That's so refreshing to hear from someone irl. Unfortunately, I've heard more bad experiences than good ones, from local people who know some other "influencers". 💀
I don't play pokemon anymore, and I never really collected, but any time his videos get suggested to me I watch them. He really does the heart good. It's nice seeing people as kind and generous still roaming the world and spreading positivity
I dont even collect cards but follow him on YouTube, the amount of donations he gets, and people that straight up just buy cards for people is a lot, probably the most donations you'll ever see in a comment chain. It's genuinely probably one of the most wholesome channels on YouTube, it's just full of love for people, and for the hobby. Coop is amazing and deserves the absolute best. All he does is give give give, and he loves to share this hobby with people. He's absolutely amazing. Fuck the scalpers, wish people were more like him
Yeah, I don't even watch other content creators, they are just going for the rush of pulling a good card, Coop tries to be a good person with everyone and is mostly interested in giving kids a good time.
Coop's videos are a cherry on top of each day for me. The first time I saw one of his videos, I was flying from Boston to LA and I must have watched 2 hours of his Instagram Reels. His content gives me all of the feels!
I believe this interaction with Phil was in late November or early December convention he was at. He has been doing this well before his channel grew too.
I found his channel at around 35k watchers when he had only film a few of his vendor POVs at the time.
Edit: This was actually the VA Beach show at end of October. Man time flies.
I don't even collect and will binge watch Coops shorts on YouTube cause it's such a breathe of fresh air compared to the rest of the internet(or really society anymore)
I set up at shows with Coop, I don't do Pokemon only sports card so not a ton of overlap on product.
You couldn't be more right about Coop. Always spending time talking to the younger collectors and helping them get started. He is what vendors should aim for at local shows
That's what I get too from the few streams I watched part of. Chance of meeting him are slim (I'm in the eu, Belgium and i do hope to visit the us one day. But combining that stretch with a M&G is a bit of a stretch 😅)
Yes!!! And the guy who gave the binder is Phil from @beard.dad.cardz who occasionally is on the videos. I don’t collect myself but I love putting on the “vendor POV” videos from Coop in the background when I’m doing housework or things. They are fantastic and so wholesome!
Never played pokemon, but I collected cards as a kid and have been subbed to him on Youtube for awhile now and he's always making peoples day. I also love that the community gives him stuff to give away now.
I’m so glad coops is getting some recognition. I used to watch him a lot more since I started playing and collecting Pokémon and he inspired me to be charitable in this hobby. Love him and am interested in getting a booth one day and will give away just like him!
I would have been jumping when I played Pokémon TCG if I was that kid.
I gave my entire collection to my younger cousin when he started out. 1st editions from OG to Team Rocket sets.
I only play MTG now. I keep copies of the OG starters from red / blue in my server book, if I get a table with a kid and they happen to have any Pokémon apparel or are actually playing I let them choose their favorite
Thanks for this. Being dealing with some very lame, shitty, mediocre people in work recently that's been dragging me down and these videos feel like the perfect antidote. So many great qualities on show from everyone in his clips
Alas! Though USS does stand for United States Ship on earth, I forgot about United Space Ships (assuming it's like Star Trek). Forgive my waxing poetic!
I assume the same. It's never really explained in either series 😅. You are most definitely forgiven. Maybe a series for you to explore. Starts with a movie, sg-1, then overlaps with Atlantis and universe and 2 movies again. We don't speak about 'origin'.
I'm gonna show my age here- but I definitely saw the original movie in the theaters 30 years ago and only some of the show episodes. It has been like 25 years since I've seen an episode. On the watch list now.

and the few bits I did watch out of nostalgia make this guy seem to be a genuinely good person.
