3 u/WineNerdAndProud Feb 10 '25 It's not the same, but you can always put a $5 or $10 in the pockets of jeans, sports coats, purses, and books at the thrift store. You don't get to see people's faces but that's ok. Sometimes people need a win when no one is looking. I started doing this when I found a $9.99 coat when I was broke that has a $20 in an inside pocket that paid for the coat. Didn't change the world or anything, but it gave me some optimism that stuck, and now I try to pay it forward when I can.
