My dad surprised me when I was 14 years old with a dirt bike. Hands down the best birthday I have ever had (almost 40 now).

I walked home from the school bus and there was a yz250 in my driveway. 48 u/pokedumbass Mar 01 '25 I hope I’m able to bring my step son this kind of joy when he is older. He’s not quite old enough right now to want something this big though. 30 u/JoinTheRightClick Mar 01 '25 Great dad I am jealous. Never had such an expensive present all my life. 23 u/kawaiian Mar 01 '25 When you can, buy them now for yourself, and further down the line, be the person that buys them for children as you had no one around to 1 u/Virtual-Public-4750 Mar 02 '25 I was pretty blessed. My dad also worked his butt off to give us a good life. 2 u/Otherwise_Food9698 Mar 02 '25 do you still ride dirt bikes these days? 1 u/Virtual-Public-4750 Mar 02 '25 It’s been a while. Funny you ask, I was recently looking at maybe buying one. I miss it. Being on the bike as a teenager was my happiest moments and one of the few times I wasn’t in my head with my mental stuff. 2 u/TurtleRockDuane Mar 02 '25 Untold hours of fun, exercise, coordination and strength building, adventure, fun. Fun is worth mentioning twice. 1 u/Scrat_66 Mar 01 '25 Did he turn it on inside the house? 1 u/Virtual-Public-4750 Mar 02 '25 No, it was still awesome though.
