Sadly from the trailers it looks nothing like the vibes of the books :(

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh lol

There's been so much of her being shared and it's clear it was all from promo but none of it ever showed the full title so I've just been like "ecclec... sta..wtf the is it???"

Looks like a cool movie. Likely gonna be another bust for her. Shame.

If you’re familiar with the source material, it looks embarrassingly bad. The book is dystopian cosmic horror that delves into very uncomfortable truths about human nature. The movie is marketed as a coming-of-age adventure story. I’m not even going to try and square that circle.

As a fan of the book, that is so fucking disappointing. God Hollywood can't write a good story even with the entire plot handed to them.

It’s insane. Nothing in the book is about robots. All the battle hardware was drones. Even Skip was a drone. But they’ve made this movie about robots. I even read that one of the heavies is a civil rights lawyer representing the robots. What? In the book, a guy gets his head blown off, another guy gets crushed, there’s a lesbian love story, men lactate from using the casters, the stepmom is found at the bottom of a pool, kept alive by her caster, and a hive mind controlled drone that’s fifty feet tall fucks a woman in a van. Coming of age adventure my ass.

Unfamiliar with it. But it's always sad to see books go downhill with the movie. Must feel pretty shitty for the book writer.

That’s very disappointing.

It's Netflix - she's their darling, a bust doesn't matter, it'll get masses of views thanks to the stranger things crowd and she will have got huge paycheck up front and then she'll do another one! That's how it goes.

Oh my god I just looked up the budget - $320 million. Christ!

An amazing book with INCREDIBLE art

I'm worried the movie is gonna butcher it. Tone seems way off. But I'll probably watch anyway.

Same boat. The trailer looks tonaly like a totally different entity entirely.

Yeah I tend to avoid movies based on books I love. Especially if Chris Pratt is in it lol

I actually have Labyrinth sitting on my bookshelf! I need to get that one too…

It was almost Basic Instinct, but Chris put his butt in the way.

You're part of the problem

Nope, the problem is definitely wardrobe choice and a load of muppets ready to jump on the social outrage bandwagon at the sniff of a mildly controversial comment.
