Link for background.

The first paragraph in the article also talks about his super problematic religious views/politics.

I personally do not find him to be a gentleman.

Man. That’s just what you say after a kid is born. I get it can come off insensitive, but there is a chance he didn’t realize.

I get people hate him for political beliefs, as that is where we are as a country. Which leads to people always believe in malice.

However, I try to not assume malice when ignorance could easily be the answer in most situations. Believing malice is a much worse way to live.

And I’m Liberal. Very few politicians I respect. Haven’t enjoyed many elections lately. But I can look beyond general beliefs. If he was undying support for a person like Trump, ok then I’m probably out. But just having Conservative beliefs different than mine? Let’s all be adults.

With that said, I can also separate personal life from being an actor. Obviously Scientology is disgusting. But man do I dig some Tom Cruise movies.

You should not be getting downvoted for having an emotionally mature take like this.

This is our country. Everybody pinned against each other. It’s sad.

It is. It shouldn’t be “us versus them” when we’re all supposed to be playing on the same team.

“Us vs them” should be different “them”

Tf? Nothing wrong with what he said about his child. So you want it to be an unhealthy child? People are reading too much about other people's lives and projecting that they forget to live their own.

I don’t think I was the stand alone comment about having a healthy child, but rather, paired with the fact that he wasn’t far removed from his marriage with Ana Farris, with whom he has a disabled son. I get it: it’s not like he said he FINALLY had a healthy kid, but I can see how it still gives pause.

Tbh my first reaction, if I were to read into it, would be how having a baby in a NICU is not a good experience so of course you’re happy to have a healthy one and not repeat that.

It sounds like the problem is with you, not with him. You sound like a bigot.
