I mean...she clearly asked him ao it wasn't like he just did it. She was talking to him looked like "do you mind standing in front to block my skirt" or aomething. Any guy would do that, not special imo

It’s a made me smile subreddit. Maybe he’s not special but he’s still a gentleman.

If we're getting into it, he's gone ultra religious, is part of an anti lgbtq church, and did that thing where he got much more famous than he was before and then left his wife and got himself a significantly younger wife.

Sounds like a real gentlemen because he did something super basis most shitty men would do if asked because it really isn't anything.

Huh, didn't realize all of that. That's crazy actually

You’re in a “made me smile” subreddit whinging about a complete stranger’s Christianity. What has gone so wrong in your life to lead you here?

-5

u/TwoBionicknees Mar 06 '25

christianity is preaching hate and bigotry? I mean, a lot of christians do that but in general the people supposedly at you know, the top of the leadership for christianity was pretty heavily against those things.

Just because right wing psychos believe it's christianity and call it that, doesn't make that the case.

1

u/DahLegend27 Mar 06 '25

Generalizing an entire religion one belief is exactly how you alienate certain groups and exactly how you end up in the situation we are in now.

1

u/TwoBionicknees Mar 06 '25

Oh no, another oen who can't read. I guess I have to ask again, quote where I generalised a religion in any way at all.

Just to save time because the other people still don't get it.

I was talking about ONE church that is specifically well known for being hateful and said literally nothing about christianity in general EXCEPT to say that this specifically hate preaching church is NOT preaching what Jesus did.

u/LaserGuy626 Mar 06 '25

You know Biden and Obama are Christian, right?

3

u/TwoBionicknees Mar 06 '25

and? are they part of a hateful church that preaches hate of lgbtq people?

Do you think each and every church is identical and spreads the exact same messages?

Do you think I respect Biden or Obama? Do you think I believe them being religious, or claiming to be religious, is somehow a good thing?

What part of my message told you that I believe that a right wing church that spreads hate is 'christianity', even though I very muched called out that a church like that is not spreading the message of Jesus, but very much doing the opposite.

Calling a church a christian church, while is preaches anti christian messages.. you think I was calling out christianity and not that church as not being christian?

Well you certainly identify yourself as a right wing christian with your critical thinking skills.

700k karma redditor holy shit

u/LaserGuy626 Mar 06 '25

You people keep attacking Christians, and even the Democrats that are Christian will start voting Republican. Good luck with that strategy.

u/ncocca Mar 06 '25 edited Mar 06 '25

Meh. Not OP but I have similar views. I don't mind Christianity (was raised Catholic) but I do mind assholes treating people badly in the name of Christianity.

OP seems to feel the same way as me. So in reality we're perfectly aligned with the good Christians, which is realistically the majority of them. But let's not pretend that there aren't plenty of very homophobic and even misogynistic Christian leaders, sects, and people. Wasn't it pat Robinson, a famous Christian pastor / Reverend that said hurricanes were caused by gay people?

1

u/AdPresent5036 Mar 06 '25

Oh no Christian’s have it so hard 🥱🥱

1

u/TwoBionicknees Mar 06 '25

Quote where I attacked christians.

Right, I didn't, good for you, you're an idiot.

I attacked THE CHURCH HE GOES TO, which is a church famous for hate and anti lgtbq stances.

I specifically said this church doesn't appear to represent jesus because it's pro bigotry and hatred.

I did call out people who are right wing, thing they are christian and have no critical thinking skills so I do understand why you felt attacked.

Again, explain and quote where I attacked christianity and not this specific church which I was saying was anti christianity.

0

u/itjustgotcold Mar 06 '25

You’re making up a strawman to fight here. The person you replied to specifically stated that Pratt was part of an anti-lgbtq church. You acting like that is just part of Christianity shows how poorly you misunderstand the religion. Christianity doesn’t condone hatred of people. So it kind of speaks volumes that you think someone pointing out that hatred is not part of your religion is attacking your religion, lol.

u/SuperRiveting Mar 06 '25

His body his choice. Isn't that what you lot always say?

3

u/TwoBionicknees Mar 06 '25

Do you have a point? Quote a part of my message I said he wasn't able to go to whatever church he wanted or have any belief he wanted?

My body, my brain, my choice. I believe he's an asshole.

What argument do you even think you're making here? Because it's his choice to go to a hate filled church then I have to think he's a good guy?

0

u/SuperRiveting Mar 06 '25

No point, just a comment. Have a nice day :)

1

u/TwoBionicknees Mar 06 '25

yeah, figured as much.

1

u/SuperRiveting Mar 06 '25

You're an angry individual. Should get that under control before you do yourself an injury. :)

As a Christian, the preaching isn’t hate towards people in the lgbtq community, even though some Christians seem to hate members of that community. The message of Christianity is love. The Bible says that God made marriage for a man and a woman and that everyone is fearfully and wonderfully made. It says nothing about putting down or hating those who are lgbtq. I understand why many think the message is dumb bc why care, but people often conflate that message with hate when it has nothing to do with that.

2

u/TwoBionicknees Mar 06 '25

what's your point here exactly? Can you quote where I said christianity is preaching hate? Can you show me where I said what the message of christianity is at all?

Read what I actually said and react to that rather than what you think I said because you didn't bother to read it properly.

-1

u/Sad_Interest_3277 Mar 06 '25

Also, settle down, friend. No need to be so aggressive.

1

u/CraftyKuko Mar 06 '25

They seemed pretty settled to me. No aggression whatsoever.

0

u/Sad_Interest_3277 Mar 06 '25

They’ve been throwing little insults at my intelligence the entire discussion but this specific message doesn’t look horrible.

u/TwoBionicknees Mar 06 '25

yes, same as always. gets it wrong, gets called out, realise they were wrong, insist the other person is upset. Not going to work. Quote where I said christianity was preaching hate or are you too upset to admit you're wrong and just projecting.

Prove me wrong, be the bigger person and actually admit you're wrong. I'll be straight up honest, I don't think you will, I'm assume you'll double down. Will it be wow you're upset because of how much you typed, that's a classic.

Maybe we'll try this one, can you quote the exact part that made you believe I was aggressive?

1

u/Sad_Interest_3277 Mar 06 '25
  1. It was the, “because you didn’t bother to read it properly” comment. Definitely unnecessary and definitely a jab.
  2. I already admitted that you didn’t insult Christianity directly, but rather my point was that churches that preach against the ideals of a community don’t necessarily hate them.
  3. You’re doing a lot more personal attacks than I am.
  4. Take a deeeeep breath.

Yeah the thing is that he's actually not that great of a person otherwise. He recently bulldozed a historic mid-century LA home from the 1950s that was one of the few remaining examples of Californian modernism... Just to replace it with a farmhouse mcmansion. (Here's an article )

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. But I feel like this story perfectly illustrates the kinda person he is.

1

u/Sad_Interest_3277 Mar 06 '25

Using the fact that he bulldozed an old house to build a new one doesn’t make him a bad person tbh. Maybe if you’re really big into California modernism it would be a travesty, but not some moral dilemma.

1

u/chathaleen Mar 06 '25

Hold on, I'm the only one doing this voluntarily?

1

u/New_Statistician_778 Mar 06 '25

Do you have a different video you are watching with further back video? I am full screen zoomed in and all I see is her close her mouth, maybe quickly saying a single word. Feels like a lot of projecting going on in these comments.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '25

I mean...she was clearly leaning over to talk to him before this clip.

Idk all I know is chris pratt is NOT some gentleman if you look at what he's been doing like others have mentioned. So even if he did do it voluntarily, he's not example of a healthy toxic free man.

1

u/New_Statistician_778 Mar 06 '25

She's looking to her hard left we see many people standing, Chris appears to already be standing and runs over from the group. As for the rest of your comment, I never said he was. It's important to try to remove personal bias. If I came into this not knowing anything about him, I'd probably dismiss anything you had to say because I would assume you're dishonest about the subject based off what I read from you in the initial comment because it doesn't match what I see

Don't take this the wrong way, just telling you what I would have assumed. Also Fuck Chris Pratt.

1

u/peach-whisky Mar 06 '25

Who took the jam out of your doughnut?

0

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '25

Idk what that means, but chris pratt is not the guy this post is trying to paint him as.
