Monkey because it is the primordial coughs blood human bloodline.
Elephant because as we all know the Elephant bloodline actually contains the secret of cultivating 100000 Dragon coughs more blood Elephant particles each with the power of 100000 Elephant particles.
I was going for these as well because Monkes are the most agile amongst the bunch while having good maneuvering capabilities so if you are in a good area with a lot of objects or things that you can cling on to then you are just surviving anything that comes at your direction + they are very good learners.
Second reason is the same as yours plus elephants are just you know... Elephants. Even without the Dragon elephant bloodline you can easily crush the other bloodlines if another elephant doesn't stop you.

This junior does know that by returning to the origin , you can evolve each of them limitlessly, Dragon and phoenix evolve from reptiles and birds but since they have reached their peak , you can't surpass your ancestors peak realm unless you're a heavenly defiling prodigy.
By starting from the origin, you can create a new bloodline system that will surpass your predecessors.

Do not reject a toast only to drink a forfeit! Reincarnating with two mortal beast bloodlines is enough by itself for most sects to make you an outer disciple. If you want them to become like mythical beasts, you will have to develop them yourself.
Monkey and Elephant, Because With Monkey, I can refine it to Heaven Battling Sage Monkey's Bloodline, as for Elephant, if could be grown into Dragon Elephant Battle Body/ Heavenly Elephant Prison Supressing body
I would take Crocodile and Elephant bloodline after refining them to the peak and merging them I can gain the power of the primordial dragon elephant vajra.
Monkey and wolf. Monkey can go through evolution to become the sage while the wolf can go to become something akin to kyuubi. Since a monkey can represent the sun (sun sovereign monkey) and wolf represents the moon (obviously) one can even balance both Yin and Yang since sun and moon are simply celestial versions of Yin and Yang
bears can lift over 1,000 lbs (450 kg). Smell 7 times better than a bloodhound can run up to 30 mph (48 km/h)and can sustain their top speed for 100-200 yards (91-183 meters).

And that's just the normal animals. The Spirit Beast Versions are likely much stronger. enhanced size strength Durability Endurance speed and perception are very versatile. I can use my strength and endurance to practice a profession like spirit smithing construction being a guard being a miner to help me deal with aggressive tame spirit beasts or simple manual labour. I can use my perception to identify Spirit Herbs or to track Spirit Beast. And best of all, the bloodline will give me an advantage in combat, that doesn't lock me to one path and can be used right away Especially useful considering I don't have any form of combat training. In the lower stages, size gives a great reach advantage in the higher stages when flying becomes an issue. I can use ranged weapons. basically every range weapon ( at least the ones available on a cultivation world ). Rely on Kinetic energy, so qi Infused ranged weapon weapon + qi From cultivation + Bloodline super strength + Body cultivation = Everything in front of me turns into a fine red mist.
Exactly also, elephants can cause earth vibrations and talk to eachother from kilometers away, great memory too, live long years and kinda impossible to have cancer cause they selfheal
Bear and elephant. I would not necessarily be especially agile, but I would be enduring, I would be strong and I would be robust. The main way to be able to develop oneself is to be able to survive long term adn aprt of that is also having the resiliency to survive a failed experiment or occaisional sabotage.
Totally for the elephant but I think not so for the bear. Dexterity, sure. This is why we are weaker then apes pound for pound by a lot. We traded strength for dexterity.
Don't forget bears catch fish. Part of that is positioning but part of that is also reaction speed.
If i had to list a single animal/fish/insect of that list that is heads above the others it is bears. Bears are absolute monsters. They are predators that can hunt so well they fuel their bodies as omnivores that hunt and do it well enough to sit around for months in winter. It takes a lot to fuel a predictor as large as a bear. Herbivores are just bigger.
Bear and monkey. Mostly because if I double up on the muscle brigade beasts then I’ll be fantastic when it comes down to body cultivating a Pure Dao Body.
Monkey can evolve to primordial saint bloodline and crocodile which will evolve to dragon god bloodline.
At my peak, I can become the primordial saint dragon god that even surpasses Pangu.
Crocodile and Boar. It's an All rounder combination - good offense, defense, vitality and speed. Boars are adept at open battles, a Yang characteristic and crocodiles are patient hunters, a Yin characteristic.
Boars, are treasure seekers, and both bloodlines Can help digest massive amount of resources. That means abundant vitality and recovery.
While not being naturally poisonous, both are associated with it in mythology. Boars bristles and Crocodile Gallbladder's were once tought to be poisonous, as well as Boar's breath. It's not hard to also act like a Komodo Dragon.
Bear and Centipede, the strength and defensive capabilities of the bear bloodline are nearly unmatched, but still not overbearing like the elephants (which would be counter intuitive if you had the Centipedes bloodline as the speed gained would be engaged by the large size and slower movement to begin with), then the Centipede bloodline is clearly for the speed it offers in conjuction with the poison techniques it unlocks, giving me all around access to some of the highest tier defenses, attacks, speed, and poisons.
As an esteemed immortal well versed in 3000 daos , and who is quite fond of these mortal creatures , let me show you juniors mount tai. One of the best options would be a gu like centipede or a scorpion bloodline. But chad body cultivators choose scorpions some of the powers it can grant are :-
Regeneration (can regen entire limbs)
Hard exoskeleton
Radiation resistant
Enhanced strength and senses
Venomous stinger
Can survive upto a year without any food/water.
Can survive underwater.
(Scorpions are tougher , a centipede is just faster)
And as a second choice best would be either a monkey as said by a junior brother of mine, or a swordfish. Swordfish gets you greater benefits on the dao of swords and sabers.
Fastest fish in the ocean. (80kmph/50mph)
Goes upto 14ft in size weighing 500kgs.
Monkey and bear. Monkeys are already way stronger than humans but they are also super agile. Bear might add a layer of fat and hair but they are also weirdly fast and strong but also stupid durable. You can be any combonation you want but the ability to move and take a hit means I will survive.
Both are also great climbers, tool users, strong, and fast.
I think picking any combo of the mammals would be a smart choice because you are reinforcing and enhancing your strengths you already have as a human. Picking scorpion or centipede probably gives you some type of venom but that should be limited to melee and then waiting for it to grind down whatever you are fighting. Can't I just hurl a rock at you and run away?
Venom and poison in melee can be considered the sharpest of sharp knives but it is probably limited to your hands and/or feet so you get a super sharp stubby knife.
I don't want a new tool. As a proud descendant of PRIME monkee I already know we can make any tool. I want a multiplier so my tools work harder for me. Tools are options and I'd want all my tools to be strong.
Side note, crocodiles are breath holders and biters with high defense. Our teeth are slanted more towards tools than weapons and I really don't want to be using one of our weakest body parts as a weapon.
Side side note. Swordfish most likely gives you underwater breathing but our lungs really don't like fluid in them so I'd image you would use up a lot of bloodline power vastly changing something as fundamental as breathing. You also get really good with the sabre. Since that is mostly how they use their nose? Slashing while swimming. What is this on land, bonus to charging slashing attacks? Do you think you grow webs between your fingers like sudo flippers?
Righteous Path: Wolf and Elephant, because they're both highly social pack animals. Great for being part of a sect.
Rogue Path: Crocodile and Scorpion, because they're good at hiding and doing ambush attacks (from underneath water and sand, respectively). Being a loose cultivator means a lot of risk, so being able to strike first is ideal.
Body Path: Boar and Centipede, for strength and stamina, and durability and mobility respectively.
Soul Path: Monkey and Elephant, which are the most clever animals on this list.
Poison Path: Scorpion and Centipede. Obviously.
Sword Path: Scorpion and Elephant, because of claws and tusks respectively. Swordfish might not even be that great for sword dào since it only pierces, and doesn't slash.
Spear Path: Swordfish and Boar, because the swordfish can pierce well and has a spear-like body, and boar because it can charge well, which is good for spear combat.
They're tough as hell, too. Boar hunting spears were specifically developed due to the tendancy boars have to push up the length of a regular spear to gore their attacker to death, after which the boar could still get away and live.
Young masters are going to do their thing anyway, might was well be able to survive, even if it comes with agro tendancies. Plus, I think an ambush hunter like a crocodile might chill out the more aggressive side of the boar.
Wolf + Centipede
Wolf because it comes with some of the most versatile powers (archetypally you can have both team and solo abilities (pack vs lone wolf) as well as more interesting moon related powers (any sort of moon related divination/foresight would be wonderful)
Centipede because I like it better than scorpions and pretty much every gu related ability is powerful and or esoteric (all of which is good), and poison abilities are always better to have (hard for your enemies to poison you when you're a poison cultivator)
This junior would choose Crocodile and Scorpion. This junior hopes to obtain the crocodile's ability to be both in land and sea, and the scorpion's deadly venom.
