You have disappointed me, Junior. There are two things that I take offense to. First, your claim to be an "open-minded" Immortal, an ant can be open-minded by choosing to eat both the sugar and the insect it catches with its brethren, but for a person to be truly freed, they have to first know the pleasures and pains of life, which you haven't seen. You seem to me the type who just took pills and relied on others for their growth, and when a mortal pointed out your shortcomings, your ego, the size of Mt Tai, couldn't handle it, and you laid upon a cruel fate on them and their family. It's not the strong who reign supreme in this infinite universe, for there are always bigger fish in the sea; It's those who let go of their Pride, Wrath, Lust, Envy, Sloth, Gluttony and Greed that are able to reign supreme as they are the masters of their body, mind and soul. It's a peak I have yet to see and wish that all those of our sect seek and reach.

That is true, and I will not deny lower realmers their mortal desires, but as immortals and Seniors, we need to teach our Juniors the ability to let go and relearn these emotions because only then will they make a comparison between the two and choose their own path.
Those who decide to chase their desires as beings who believe themselves to be of free will feel that maybe letting it all go was the right answer, as they find themselves in a vicious cycle of chasing a never-ending rush from their pleasures and pains.
Those who let it all go will feel a void and may not come to peace with the fact that they are nothing and everything and that they are no longer an entity not only sentient but at all, they will feel as if not even a atom is there and they themselves are not of matter, just thoughts flowing in the river of space and time. They will feel that they should have listened to their carnal cravings just to feel something.
Only those who are content with what they have but still want to become better, not for themselves but for others, for those who have helped them stay on their path, those who have supported them, those who have loved them. Those masters of life are whom we should learn from and strive to be like. They, as humans, have reached the true meaning of their existence.

Phrases like "I don't believe you can survive this" Or "I am unwilling to accept this" Or the fact how immortals look down on every mortal as if they are an ant without actually checking their current state, background and anything they are hiding while actually having the ability to check these things just goes to show how arrogant, narrow minded, willful, egoistic and petty immortals are. If you ever read western novels, eventually you will come across some world settings with various pantheons, naturally there will also be the chinese pantheon along with supernaturals from different countries and their corresponding gods/pantheons. In these novels the chinese cultivators aren't very strong. They will initially show them as strong as the others but eventually they will not really make it to be as strong as unifying the world. Whereas in chinese novels the only supernaturals that exist are cultivators and the whole world is china. Even aliens are chinese, other countries who come into contact with chinese can't stop flattering them and when it's time to unify the world there are no other supernaturals except the chinese. In reality if supernaturals actually existed then there would be humans blessed by angels/god in the vatican. America would have their own supernatural races, don't forget india which the chinese themselves call "divine land/land of gods", how can they not have their own supernaturals, then you have the shinto pantheon in japan, korean awakeners, egyptian pantheon, norse pantheon, the infamous greek pantheon, celtic pantheon, you also have various other races, if there can be dragons then why not vampires, werewolves, chimeras, demons, angels, fallen angels, abyss creatures, gods, etc. The chinese don't even acknowledge anybody except cultivators as supernaturals? Moreover dragons are the strongest race which is a consensus, yet in every chinese novel dragons are reduced to nothing more than flying lizards who become the mounts of humans. All of this goes to show how narrow minded chinese authors and you cannot expect such narrow minded people to come up with broad minded immortals

They are not immortal, they are insects bound in an immortal form, never growing up mentally, for their youth was spent in a room cultivating, never growing as a person, nor gaining any true wisdom that should generally come with a longer life.
So in eyes of this Immortal with mortal heart, they are incomplete, unable to truly understand the value of time or life. They are suffocating the stories those life might have had, just because their little ego can't handle a bit of banter.
Insignificant little shit incurring negative karma, which will accelerate their downfall. The misery that the fate has for them will be something to behold.
Oh I thank lord for letting me find this fool, I will watch him, his love, his misery and his eventual end. That's where the joy is at.

Junior has eyes but can't see Mt Tai. Immortality is not wisdom or broad-mindedness. Immortality is simply living longer. Just as there are those who grow in virtue, others grow in indolence and wickedness.

Some psychopaths like to step on ants, but the fact that they're psycho doesn't change the fact they(humans) and the ants are completely different lifeforms.
And an individual of the former species posses far more complex and sophisticated cognitive system, than an individual or even one that of a hive from the latter species can have.
