Or maybe he doesn't want to go to Star Wars Celebration lmao

Funny as that explanation would be, I can’t help but feel he just wouldn’t have accepted in the first place if that were the case. Pulling out at the last minute just because you don’t want to would be a huge dick move

That's a fair point

Nice try, Feige

He was doing autographs/photos so it’s a lot to refund on a whim. Production schedules change all the time, it’ll be Avengers or another prior filming commitment/reshoots.

Easy explanations are banned here ❌🙅‍♂️

I would prefer to see Jake show out first before this, but it could be hilarious if he shows up as Jake and is just a straight up murdering asshole. All the other heroes saying "we read the file, you seemed pretty reasonable".

Not every character has to be in the crossover, I would hope we get a S2 for Moon Knight instead

He’s one of the most popular actors in Hollywood right now, it could be for a million reasons.

u/Triforce805 14h ago

Yeah like did you know that he’s an actor and actors act in movies lol

He could be filming for literally any movie rn

Or maybe they’re gonna do season 2. I mean we don’t know the full story of the third personality yet,

23

u/NightmareDJK 1d ago

They said that they are not doing Season 2 because the show was designed to introduce him to appear in future MCU projects (movies) and not as an ongoing series.

18

u/eucldian 1d ago

To be fair, there have been conflicting stories.

u/Stevenerf 20h ago

To be fair Moon Knight has conflicting stories… Marc, Steven, Jake…

1

u/Character-Sorbet-718 Hydra 15h ago

Marc is the protagonist in comics and in mcu series, the show Runner Jeremy Slater hated Marc and made Steven the protagonist

3

u/Myhtological 1d ago

With such a big hole about his character? That’s really stupid

1

u/NightmareDJK 1d ago

2

u/Myhtological 1d ago

Well like I said that’s stupid. If it’s Specter, why is he moon knight again, if it’s Jack, it’ll effectively be a new character people haven’t connected to yet.

3

u/eckodour 1d ago

Which is weird to me, because the show left off on a thread that it'd be weird to be solved in an avengers movie or midnight suns movie (even worst if it's solved off screen and he just shows up saying that Marc and Jake are moon Knight again)

"THE MOON HAUNTS YOU"

ROLL CREDITS

6

u/NightmareDJK 1d ago

You just know Oscar badly wants to say that in a movie LOL.

5

u/DirectConsequence12 1d ago

Maybe his “scheduling conflict” is the simple fact that he doesn’t wanna go to Star Wars Celebration

I"m glad the weird barrier between the TV shows and movies has been done away with. I was hoping the Defenders would get a brief cameo in Infinity War, but there was nothing. It was like stuff from the movies was canon to the shows, but the shows couldn't touch the movies for some reason.

Yes, I am all for characters and events from shows appearing in the movies.

I'm hoping Born Again is now going to be the rule not the exception for MCU TV going forward. If you're going to make a TV show then make it a TV show, not a 2.5 hour movie you've stretched out into an 8 episode 6/8 hour show.

Moon Knight, FatWS, Ms Marvel, Secret Invasion and even Loki all feel like they started as movie projects that were then repurposed, and only Loki I would say managed to overcome that hurdle and feel like a complete package. The telltale sign was always the run-counts like why did all these shows have a random episode that was barely half an hour long and didn't contribute anything to the story? Because act 1 and 2 of movies have real narrative meat, and act 3 is the shortest act but is the big payoff, so when going for an 8 episode show as act 2 is winding down they have no choice but to throw in some bullshit to pad the runtime, it's why consistently the penultimate episodes of these shows are usually the best ones, and episodes 5-6 are always a slog cause it's just dicking around in the grey area desperately holding on to what would've been act 2 in a movie until they finally let act 3 play out in Eps 7-8.

An avengers film doesn’t mean every single mcu character gotta be in it papers

3

u/Jajaloo 1d ago

Probably just hates Star Wars.

3

u/Fair_Walk_8650 1d ago

About f*ing time they did something with him, jeez!

3

u/Thisisgotham 1d ago

I'd rather see him in Daredevil than Doomsday. Doomsday already sounds like it's going to have a bloated cast.

u/Maximum_Operation_70 18h ago

“Oscar Isaac seen purchasing toilet paper at a local grocery store - Moon Knight appearance confirmed“

6

u/TaskMister2000 1d ago

I feel like it's pointless having Moon Knight in it. Unless Kang is coming back and they tie Ruma-Tut or whatever to the Moon God I just don't see what the point is of having Moon Knight in it.

I want a damn season 2 of Moon Knight. They set so much up.

9

u/eucldian 1d ago edited 1d ago

I would prefer a season 2 first, but I also like the idea of them calling out an "all hands on deck" scenario against Doom and Jake version shows up just being a complete wildcard.

Edit

Him showing up, immediately getting killed, and Khonshu immediately resurrecting him while all the other heroes are just "wait...what???" would be kind of great.

3

u/therealmonkyking 1d ago

RDoomJ isn't ready for Moon Knight to fly a helicopter directly into him

3

u/eucldian 1d ago

Moon Knight support group incoming.

2

u/freeformz 1d ago

Please.

2

u/hokagenaruto 21h ago

god I feel like this movie is just gonna be moments where a character shows up and theres an obvious pause thats meant for the audience to clap. just like with spider man no way home.

2

u/Feisty-Stretch8593 15h ago

Literally the only character introduced in the Multiverse Saga that i NEED to see more of

6

u/Leo-Lobilo 1d ago

Please we need it. Moonknight was the best disney show

2

u/roboto404 1d ago

Seems rushed. His story hasn’t even settled yet.

1

u/TheHippieJedi 1d ago

I think both are made by the sane studio and is substantially less likely to be the cause of the scheduling conflict than something we don’t know about. His scenes can filmed later and him not being at celebration hurts Disney. It’s not like the 1 week he would be in Japan is going to be the only week moon nights scenes could be filmed.

1

u/LushCharm91 1d ago

Well I loved him as a character in the MCU. Shame the show wasn't better

1

u/Original-Speaker-682 1d ago

Moonknight was undeniably the WORST adaptation marvel has done so far.

They turned my skin tearing, voice hearing, heart eating psycho into a furry power ranger.

1

u/GladiatorJones 1d ago

I don't know that I'd have any real problem with any characters in Doomsday. As long as it makes sense, Doomsday as a lead-in to Secret Wars feels like an open invitation to bring literally any Marvel character, MCU or otherwise.

1

u/Disastrous_Dress_201 1d ago

The Doomsday cast will continue to grow until moral improves.

1

u/Silver-Control828 1d ago

I am starting to feel concerned, i know that the writers at marvel are way smarter than me but idk how all the factions will be balanced 😥 in the story wrt dialogues and action.

1

u/Ok-Grass3071 1d ago

They did just recently confirm that he is coming back. Aah my heart!!🥹🥹🥹

1

u/Ok-Grass3071 1d ago

I need to know more of what Jake is like.

1

u/suhhdude45 Spider-Man 1d ago

It could be a 5 minute cameo and I wouldn’t care. Give me more Moon Knight!

1

u/Gemnist Spider-Man 1d ago

If he appears, it should be a quick cameo. Moon Knight is further removed from the rest of the MCU than any other character, if anyone’s getting left out it’s him.

1

u/dark_knight920 Wolverine 1d ago

Love to see him

1

u/myowngalactus Galactus 1d ago

Didn’t he specifically say he didn’t really want to be part of the larger marvel universe because he didn’t enjoy his experience with Star Wars. Doesn’t mean a wheelbarrow of money couldn’t change his mind, but I don’t expect Moonknight to be involved with the avengers.

1

u/royalmoosecavalry 1d ago

THHE MOOOOON

1

u/rgregan Mr. Knight 1d ago edited 2h ago

They said the same thing about Tatiana Maslany.

But just to throw it out there, Doomsday isn't the only thing shooting. Born Again Season 2 is too.

1

u/Quantum_Quokkas 23h ago

I for one feel incredibly relieved to see this post say “Fans believe this” instead of selling it as an inside source cough DanielRPK cough

1

u/Decent-Cold-9471 21h ago

I’d love it.

1

u/the_vole 21h ago

I don’t care when he comes back. Just so long as he comes back.

1

u/darthyogi 14h ago

How do we know he’s playing Moon Knight?

0

u/Canon_Cowboy 1d ago

People forgetting he played Apocalypse? This ain't gonna be for Moon Knight if it even is at all.

1

u/Independent-Grade-17 X-Men 1d ago

It would be a gag to switch up as apocalypse instead since Xavier and magneto will be there. I would appreciate that.

-1

u/NightmareDJK 1d ago

Of course he’s in it.

0

u/VegetableStation9904 Iron Man 1d ago

I'd very much like that even if he's a bit-player so to speak.

0

u/KeptPopcorn5189 1d ago

If they had him as Steven grant. He’d steal the whole show

0

u/NightmareDJK 1d ago

The accent he did was amazing.

0

u/taylerca 1d ago

No thanks.

u/MountainMuffin1980 1d ago

How is one film that's meant to kick off the next phase of the MCU going to have so many characters and not be a shitshow?
