You need to work with someone who has some skill and experience or training your buddy. Your buddy looks scared and lost. This won't make you better.

well to start. ur hands are down, ur chin is up, you drop your hands when throwing a combination. and you lean too far back when they throw a single punch IE no composure under any pressure.

do rounds where ur just blocking punches without losing ur base/ leaning is a good first step.

when you’re done u can do rounds with him where you fire back only when he hits your guard. that way you both can develop good habits and not be overwhelmed. and make sure u guys switch roles as well.

both of these things that u should practice and translate easily and well into muay thai.

you need to move your head off the line when you throw in combination and fundamentally change your footwork. that step back to square you do after every strike is gonna get you beat up even if you’re a muay thai guy who likes to teep from the outside. you need to learn to take fundamental steps forward back and side to side, right now you’re taking every step with the wrong foot.

at the end of the day u still need a boxing gym to improve your boxing. U just can't work it yourself, it doesn't work that way. sparring with someone inexperienced will not improve it and can more or less worsen it coz of the bad habits that u do. and I speak from experience coz I did the same thing and had a hard time trying to remove those bad habits that i did when i finally trained in a boxing gym.

A lot of good advice in these comments. Throw more feints, get your defense together, use more angles, keep your chin down, move your head. Also STOP dropping your opposite hand when you throw a punch, anybody who knows anything will pick up on that and make you pay. The way you only attack in a straight line is going to get you picked off as well, you get away with it because your buddy is lost out there still.
