Her stupidity turned her into an oath-breaker.

They call oath-breakers heroes because they have crossed over into the evil alignment long ago.

These people wouldn't know patriotism even if it was made of silicone and slapping them in the face.

To me patriotism, especially in a democracy, is loyalty to the people first. And all the people. Lots of other countries care about their people without waving their flags around like a fascist state.

For me, a big tell is whether or not they can admit if the country was wrong about something. Patriots can admit it and want things to change for the better. Nationalists get offended

Personally the Human Race as a whole comes before any line in the sand.

Same here. Loving your country should mean wanting it to be the best it can be and seeing the ugly parts you need to fix. Not shutting your eyes and ignoring it

The USA is not a democracy, we are a constitutional federal republic.

My entire family until my dad's generation had a crazy high % of enlistment into the armed forces. Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy, everything. My Dad's dad was 101st airborne.

Every single one of them agrees with you. My grandpa used to say, "That flag isn't the president. It aint the government. That flag is everybody back home that needs us. That's what I fought for. " And he didn't give a damn if you agreed with him or not on personal beliefs, he thought everybody should have the freedom to argue about it.

He used to hate seeing politicians talk about the military, too, for much the same reasons veterans say here. He felt like a scapegoat, not an actual target demographic. They loved to use the military for political clout, but not actually do shit for them.

He also used to say things like "My opinion on abortion is im not fuckin having one, so it ain't my business to tell anyone else what to do. " or "What do i care if the gays want to get married? I got a wife, they ain't hurting me none" (he was VERY southern lol). Miss that guy a lot. Would have lost his shit over Trump.

Yeah her mom is pissed and tried to drop a rock off in Arlington as a memorial because they refused to let her be buried there. Did the whole tik tok thing and whined about being denied entry into Arlington - like not allowed to driver truck into the cemetery. How it is a conspiracy when no one is allowed to drive into Arlington without a pass for either official business or you have to be visiting a frikking grave.

Let her mom be pissed.

Her daughter and son-in-law decided that they were going to break into the Capitol Building and attempt an insurrection (and that’s exactly what the Jan 6 riots were). Ashli and the group she was with were warned more than once to stop or they would be fired upon. She decided that now was a perfect time for someone to “hold her cosmo” and she chose to crawl through a window that the rioters had smashed in a locked door, directly towards the armed officers telling her not to do so.

She was an insurrectionist and does not deserve the honor of being laid to rest alongside those who truly gave their lives for this country and upheld their oaths of duty.

People’s seem so blind to the insurrection. What exactly did they think the crowd would do if it broke into the chamber and found all the reps hiding? What. Exactly?

Read oath breaker, thought Brandon Sanderson. You get an upvote for that.

Also agreed on the stupidity.

oath-breaker vs oath-breaker paladins never really goes well.
