Animus in Consulendo Liber BREAKING: In a shocking development Canada announces it will build a coalition of countries who share their values to build their economy and trade opportunities and will exclude the United States. “If the U.S. no longer wants to lead, Canada will.”

Go Canada! I'll support your leadership if you are willing to let atleast 1 goal in for free every period against Sweden in all further hockey tournaments.
If this is agreed upon, you can lead the free world.

As an American I say bravo Canada. Our country is over-run by fascists. I wish I were Canadian. We have to get this cancer out of control of our government, until then, no one should expect The US to behave like we use to.

The fucked thing was that our wannabe Trump was set for an easy majority government. Right up until his cozy relationship with the mango Mussolini left a big turd in his lap because of trumps threats and tariffs.

Uh... Not to contradict but theres a long standing tradition that all orange coloured derogatory epithets for a politician are Trumps by default....

If this alliance can offer incentive visas for good American brains too... I'm sure a lot of people would happily move instead of put up with another 45 months of Trump.

3 Yale profs announced last week that they’re accepting offers from the University of Toronto. They seem to be the first members of a new project there to welcome visiting scholars working against democratic decline and the rise of fascism. Jason Stanley, author of How Fascism Works, Timothy Snyder, author of On Tyranny and Marci Shore, author of The Ukraine Night will all be affiliated with the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. As a Canadian, I was thrilled with this news and comforted that they had chosen Canada - but what a gut punch for the US.

Dr. Snyder is the foremost expert on Ukraine in the West. Keeping him safe is super important! I know Canada is the perfect place!

I'm curioua id Heather Cox Richardson decides to throw in the towel and leave herself. She does understand where we are, and how bad it is. She's helping me to somewhat hold on to any shred of sanity I still have.
If Canada decided to annex the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I'd become a Yooper in a heartbeat.

Yah, I check in (on socials, I don’t know anyone personally) on a number of people occasionally to see who else has made a similar decision. I think the east coast seems more fragile and at imminent risk than the west for now.

This is the way

u/lostindanet 2d ago
And by redoing the rules and regulations of this new Union, please get rid of unanimous vote decisions so we don't have to suffer more Orban's and Fico's.

Not shocking at all, imo.
UK, France and Germany are openly building a new NATO without the USA in it. Canada has spent the last 2 months working on new trade pact with the EU, to include the UK, now California is asking to be a part of a trade bloc as a separate entity from the US (exemptions from reciprocal tariffs). Mexico is joining in. I expect Oregon and Washington states will make the same moves and create a trade corridor along the West coast.
Canada is in a good position to lead the new North America trade bloc.

u/Nefandous_Jewel 23h ago
Washington has the Pacific Rim trade by longstanding tradition and the largest collective seaport on the West Coasts of both North and South America. Oregon is just a vast forest with a medium sized dot that is still trying to see how many strip joints they can hold at one time and another tinier dot that handles state government.... Oh I hope the strippers make a difference! I dont wanna get left behind!!

Canada into EU?👀

u/brezenSimp 1d ago
Or Canada and EU in a new Union. Economically it’s nearly impossible that Canada joins eus single market. They are to close to the us

u/mok000 2d ago
Soon Canada will offer the US to be the 11th province.
1
u/RobbieWallis 2d ago
When that happens Washington state, Oregon and California will be making unilateral decisions.

At the same time, I read in the Military Times that the plan is to gut the US army by 90,000 people. That's a huge reduction in force. I think this is intentional to help out RU. But I can't confirm this is the intent. I just report what I read abot drastic cuts.

u/bossk538 2d ago
You go Canada! I hope this works so well that in 10 years the USA will be groveling at their feet begging to be a member.

Can you compare to China's trading network? Military power? Technology advancements? How's your semiconductors development? 😂
China-Russia coalition of the Global South is growing and the Global North is rotting as we speak, welcome to the rotten throne? 😂

West Taiwan’s trading network
Myawaddy scam centers for pig butchering scams
Military Power?
April Fools joke of a performance that the ROC military can track the Shandong aircraft carrier since it left port and has replenishment ships that can’t go as fast. They’re in the range of Mainland Taiwan’s anti-ship missiles. What monkey business.
If you mean to add Russia. Country that owns the most nukes in the world can’t keep their land from being invaded and held for close to 8 months by the country they were invading!
Technology advancement? Semiconductors
Russia just barely got to the point of making the chips for washing machines! They won’t need to steal from Ukraine anymore 🤣
I leave you with the Black Myth: Wukong styled PLA Eastern Theatre Strait Thunder-2025A promotional animation. The arrogant “Great Sage equal to Heaven” who defied the Heavens, gets sealed under Mt. Wuzhi for 500 years until he undertakes the Journey to the West for wisdom. That is what to self-identify with? Way to go, resigning to the fate of five times longer the Century of Humiliation.

Besides when the UN combined forces fought China to a stalemate in the Korean War, China didn't have any parity to the opposing force. Now, they do and with greater manufacturing capacity, technological improvements, superior navigation system, you think US and co. have any chance??? Not even mentioning distance, logistics and manufacturing output for ship building. NOTHING! No chips, no bargaining, no leverage. You can combine NATO, AUKUS, SK, Japan and you still would not change Taiwan's fate because China is ready.
1
u/White_Null Blue 1d ago
Damn, that emphasis on superior navigation system is a new buzzword. The loss of face from the sinking of Lu Peng Yuan Yu 028 and asking SEA and South Asian nations to help find them really stung huh?
What good is superior navigation when a F-15 can shoot down a satellite just for show? Or on a ship when it runs out of fuel because replenishment ships are made unavailable?
What good is manufacturing capacity without raw material imports?
So yes, I call your bluff knowing that the PLAN’s invasion barges are easily damaged.
But I’m just a nobody. Let’s see how your president handles the CCP Mouthpiece.
1
u/PotatoeyCake 1d ago edited 1d ago
That's why China already has that sorted and have for years. Barges are not the main part of the PLAN force ffs, China is approaching reunification from multiple angles. Try shooting thousands of satellites with defense mechanisms.

The meme is “do nothing, win” for China. That’s doing something and thus win is unavailable to Beijing now.
Instead, it’s the Republic of China that accomplishes “do nothing win.” Our Silicon shield is stronger due to semiconductors being exempt from tariffs but not the chip making machinery that they wanted.
2
u/PotatoeyCake 1d ago edited 1d ago
China doing nothing is a myth, China is always doing something Silicon is closely approaching it's limits but China has found materials to exceed those limits. They don't need TSMC

Taiwanker, when Beijing reclaims Taiwan, get out while you can or you'll be dead. So you better run faster than your legs can take you. RUN BOY RUN!

u/White_Null Blue 1d ago edited 1d ago
Keep telling yourself that, “American”. I hear you Abyssians say this and then complain when actually forced to live in the place you claim to have patriotism for.
Beijing just extensively copied the worst parts of Imperial Japan with “Asia for Asians” and sending ships to mess with Philippines and Australia. Keep history rhyming. You should know you can be deported to El Salvador prison. And no one will care to save you, you’re not truly loyal to Beijing by trying to have your cake and eat it too.
