My nails, even if they’re not wet and soft, always bend easily and snap. How can I make them stronger and thicker?

Hi everyone! I’m attending a fancy dinner/gala next weekend with my husband. I will be meeting a lot of people so I want to look my best. I normally have short nails but will do long nails. I’m sharing my pictures of my dress and asking for help with possible nail colors.

Closest I have found is Northern Lights by Dazzle Dry, but I'm not sure I want to spend $22 on nail polish.

I’m looking for advice on nail shape. I think right now I’m filing them out as oval? Wondering if I could keep growing them out with this more natural curve.

My nails naturally grow out square but I find that the square edges break easily and get caught on things.

I’ve read that a rounded tip is more durable but I also want to work with a shape that flatters my hands.

I have callouses from lifting at the gym and riding horses without gloves. I have bitten my nails most of my life so my nail bed is small. I’ve always been self conscious. Would love recommendations or any tutorial videos that will help me grow out a healthy, natural shape.

Im not sure if im overreacting bc I don't know if they're supposed to look like this. I got BIAB nails done 4 days ago for the first time. Should they look like this? My skin feels tight. There's some lifting already, and i can see the white of my natural nail come through at the tips. Should I take them off or leave it?

I've been getting nail enhancements regularly for years and it seems im getting to a point where upkeep is unsustainable since my nails grow so quickly. I got an acrylic infill exactly two weeks ago and this is what they look like now :( its really hard to keep them looking neat and also expensive to get a fill every two weeks.

Does anyone have any easy and quick products/methods I could do myself at home to keep them neat in between salon visits? Ideally something that keeps them hard like acrylic or biab.

Any suggestions are appreciated!!

I’m a beginner nail tech and still in school I’m going to be a home based nail tech and will be getting my clients from social media. How do I make my posts get more views? Here’s some photos of my work and profile!

It might be because I'm relatively new to painting my nails alone (I've been doing it for a month and a half), but I'm S T R U G G L I N G to paint designs and patterns on my nails with them looking actually good. 😭

I've tried 2 patterns so far, they seemed relatively easy and were cute so I said why not; I tried making paws, and Mickey Mouse ears. The Mickey Mouse ears were... Mid at best, they were disproportioned and not perfect circles. Paws were better, but they were so much thicker on my left hand (non-dominant hand) that the pattern was not symmetrical (by any means).

I am now finding patterns that I really, really love online and want to try doing, but I am troubled because I genuinely don't know how they will turn out with my current 'skills'. However, I do wanna try anyways, so I thought I'd ask if you guys have any tips for me on making patterns and designs on nails that actually end up looking pretty.

(No idea if it matters, but I do hate a dotting tool and am thinking of getting one of those small brushes I see people use tomorrow.)

I lost 100 pounds with XL nails! Now I need the shorties while I tone. Can I do it with XL yes, but is my form better this way, also yes. It’s all evolutionary I guess. I miss my XLs, a lot! But I think I like fit life more. 🥹

After listening to Vincent (Starry starry night) my next nails were decided :) Done by local 'chain' nail store.
