Rant/Rave How do you respond to those situations? Do you persevere or give in and take a break?

I’m unmedicated and have a very accommodating job, so I typically give in. But I have the privilege to do so for work but in public I always drive so I can sleep in the car. Finally trained my dog to only bark if someone touches the car, so I can sleep peacefully

Feeling low on energy is pretty common for us, breaks are encouraged though. I notice a significant difference if I don’t get my nap in the middle of the day or if I miss my Modafinil.
As for this occurring in public, do your best to plan ahead to give yourself time/space for a break. Even if that’s a 15 min snooze in your car the difference can be massive.
Sorry you’re struggling with this ❤️🩹

I honestly only push through it if I am in public or have to be attentive to others. While I am medicated that surely doesn't mean that I'm free and clear. I try to really pace myself as I also have other co occurring issues. What this looks like for me is only driving before 4 pm and taking scheduled naps or if just rest. I don't have a normal job anymore so I'm able to do this. I'm getting ready to start school in the fall and I'm really nervous about my ability to push forward.

When I'm at home, I'll try and push and if I can "get past it" and still function...i'll try and keep going. If it doesn't help, I give in and go to sleep. I can tell pretty fast if I'm going to keep going or not. To be fair naps usually don't make me feel better but it's better than just sitting staring at a wall and crying then falling asleep anyway.
I feel useless a lot and it really gets me down.
