Bring him back as well as Offerman.

Thank god someone recognised him. I thought I was the only one.

They literally cut to him and said his name during the ceremony.

How could anyone have missed that?

I watched the whole Oscars cast, and maybe I watched a truncated version cause they seem to have given out score, cinematography, editing, production design, make up and sound outside the telecast, but there was no Offerman reveal. But still, I'm happy it actually happened. May he come back next year too.

My bad. I’m still working my way through the ceremony and hadn’t seen that part yet. 🙏🏻

It’s crazy to think he had never hosted before. Feels like such a no-brainer

I remember being devoted to his late night show in the early 2000s and recall hoping that he'd be asked to host the Oscars because I wanted a wider audience to see how good he was. Nack then it seemed like a very distant prospect, as Oscars hosts were typically Billy Crystal or Steve Martin or Whoopi Goldberg. It's great after all these years to see him hit this height.

Yes, Andy was the only thing missing!

Sona, Matt, Shlansky, Nealon would all be far more exciting additions that Andy.

Great! He made the show worth watching even though I didn't see that many of the movies

Good choice. He did well

Good. He was an excellent host. It would be even better if he co-hosts Oscars with Billy Crystal. 😁😁😁😁😁

I’d prefer a female host. He was alright but someone like Nikki Glaser or Sarah Silverman would be great.

I’d say Crystal and Kimmel have been the best in their era. Johnny Carson running close behind them. But then Conan would be next; he did a fine job.

Honestly I think the Oscar’s just are glad to have anyone who wants to host. He wasn’t amazing or anything, but did a good job.

Last time they hired a black guy, he got assaulted on stage by another black guy, and the time they tried hiring a black guy before that, they had to cancel him because of his homophobic rants. And when they hire women they go for the likes of Ellen and Amy Schumer.

He’s so boring no wonder the ratings are low he’s not funny. He’s just an old white guy that acts goofy so some people think it’s funny. his actual jokes are not funny.

Now someone like Nikki glassier at the golden globes now that’s funny. The Oscar’s needs someone like that.

Wdym? The Oscars hit a 5 year high in ratings and drew in a younger audience. Maybe you have bad taste.

Bad taste alert. Bad taste alert.

Nikki Glaser would hate you for what you just said about Conan

Wutt? Yes he didn’t ruffle any feathers if you can call that “a good job”!

i found it extremely boring and mundane

Seems like he ruffled your feathers.

You should’ve seen the Drake sub after one particular joke if you don’t think he ruffled any feathers lol.

Na Conan rules. Cool to see him make the event more fun and less pretentious

u/Brave-Audience-2752 20d ago

yeah, no one even assaulted him on stage. Oscars have really fallen off
