Discussion Whats your favorite biome to start in?
Of the 4 possible biomes to start in (sandstone, forest, swampy, and ice cave) which is your favorite? Personally, I like forests the most because aluminum is great, and the biome filter is nice!

The harder it is, the more fun for me. The new ceres at spaced out dlc (small maps) but the one all the way at the end of the list, not the easy one. That one is nice. It’s balanced and keeps you on your toes. And when I mean balanced, it isn’t lol. Everything is missing or locked behind frozen crude oil. I love it.

I will go against the grain and say sandstone. Why? Because it is the easiest and less challenging of all and after more than 2k hours on that game, I have been through early game so many times I basically go through it on autopilot. So the fastest I do so, the sooner I get my fun.
That being said, the frozen caves on Ceres were nice to play with.

Forest for the win. I like the challenge of not have algae and arbor trees are super useful. I like to play the radioactive oceans asteroid because then I have access to extremely limited resources. I also use a mod to change my teleport plant to a smaller radioactive oceans planet with god awful world traits to further limit my resources.

Sandstone for sure. Others have strengths and weaknesses but sandstone is hasslefree.
