Question Pillar of the caged god

What’s the formula to calculate “wep damage per str”, and how is that compared to local phys on weps? Is that just a fancy way of saying it just multiples other non local form of added damage nodes?

Any information helps, seeing how it could compare with say 300 str/dex or some combo of the two.

It's a global "increased damage" additive with other sources such as on your tree.

Have you tested this yourself? I was 99% sure the str scaling was local % weapon damage which then scales multiplicatively with other modifiers same as any other weapon.

I have not, but in the past any conditional mods cannot be local.

I got the chance to test it and you're right, with 800 str 11-20 cold added to attacks from gloves goes up to 519-944. I've got 50% inc all damage and 160% inc phys so has to just be a load of global additive or the phys would be higher, interesting.

Holy shit. That has potential to be insane with charge stack

So the wep itself won’t matter. As long as I scale flat somewhere it, it will be increased by my strength?

Yes if it works like PoE 1 I guess. Traditionally you'd get as many sources of flat damage on your rings/amulet/gloves. Unsure if there's any other ways in this game.

The only diff from poe1 is this is all damage types where as poe1 is purely physical. So potential much higher ceiling with light/cold/fire added right??

Yup.  Flat damage to increase ur base damage, then strength to increase the weapon base damage.

if you dual wield with another weapon using golems blood, does it increase that weapon's damage? because that would be broken.

Keystone doesn't work on quarterstaves
