Am I the only one who noticed his tiny feet/shoes

Bro's feet are rebelling. Refusing to grow up until he learns some manners.

Having his feet in the chair is pretty shitty but in his defense, those specific seats on the subway have zero leg room unless you like rubbing your knees on someone’s thighs

Yea but then he could sit on the outer seat and let it be someone else's problem that wants the shitty window seat.

Except no one would be able to get to that window seat if he sat in the aisle

That's just bad design

Yeah dude we get it, during non peaks times it’s far less uncomfortable. But unless it’s your first day in one of the most populous cities in the world, it’s always going to be insane during peak riding times.

Tbf, he can’t really put his legs anywhere else

As a tall person, my legs wouldn’t fit

I’m not really sure what you’re trying to imply with these images. It’s not the same situation

12

u/UndcvrJellyfish Mar 03 '25

It’s the same seat configuration, there is leg space in front of the seat.

It might be the angle, but to me it looks like there is a dude in the way of his legs

It’s the angle this is the same seat configuration from other angles

Ah, my mistake

Terrible design why blame him

Well, it is NY so...

Is he a jerk because he is putting his feet where someone may sit and then get their butt dirty, or do you think he is taking up an extra space? Where else is he supposed to put his feet unless he scoots down to the edge and puts his feet on the floor? If he does that then it still takes up the whole seat. Just bad design really.

Just talk to him, he's right there. You can do it champ!

u/Wildeyewilly Mar 02 '25

Yea, you don't really wanna confront people practicing anti social behavior on the MTA.

u/ChuddyMcChud Mar 02 '25

What's he going to do? It's a train full of people. Are people really this spineless?

Spotted the guy that’s never been on the subway in NY

30

u/TheBestPieIsAllPie Mar 03 '25

Or been in any major city.

-18

u/ChuddyMcChud Mar 03 '25

I used to live in London.

1

u/ChuddyMcChud Mar 03 '25

Correct. Sounds fucking shit if everyone is out to murder you.

8

u/SophiaPetrillo_ Mar 03 '25

Well, that’s a different conversation. Doesn’t make people spineless for avoiding confrontation on the subway in NYC though.

People have weapons I mean not to long ago someone lit someone on fire for no reason.

23

u/eyeball1967 Mar 02 '25

Spoken like a guy never forced to use public transportation.

u/TheBestPieIsAllPie Mar 03 '25

It’s a great way to get stabbed or jumped. People like this are just begging for someone to confront them so they can “justify” attacking you.

If you’re expecting any of that group of people to help you or back you up in any way, you’ve got another thing coming.

There’s space there

I really wish I didn't have to drive my own car, with my own temperature control and comfortable seating, my choice of music or silence, and personal space... This photo surely convinces me that public transportation is superior! They all look very happy!
