How do I focus with *this*

My child, I am trying to be a productive author. How am I meant to write an action sequence when you are staring at me like this?!

I absolutely adore his eyes. I've had a basset hound, but this boy has the most "puppy dog eyes" when he is being pitiful of any dog I've ever known.
