Breweries with low top tables/comfy chairs?

Laugh at me if you want but I’m tired of always climbing into high top tables and bar height chairs. What local breweries do you like that have lower tables, maybe even couches or armchairs if I’m lucky?

I’m in the North Boros but geography isn’t highly relevant for this question

Edit: really appreciate the ideas! I’ll add and/or support a few: Acclamation in Verona is very cozy outside. Lincoln Avenue has some low tables and a small outdoor setup. Someone else said Old Thunder which has a large airy main room that I like a lot and wish it were closer to me. Thanks everyone! I hope to visit all of these and make new favorites! Keep adding if you’d like for future searchers!

I know this pain. High top chairs are rarely comfortable for me. The following south hills breweries have a mix of seating with a decent amount of low tables.

Chimera has low top tables on both levels, and when the weather is nice, lots of outdoor picnic tables.

Spoonwood also has low tables, though most of them are on the back patio for when the weather is nicer.

Mondays is the smallest location with the majority of low seating outside with very limited inside.

Are they open? Haven't been by there in a minute because I hate that intersection lol

Yeah I was there a few weeks ago That intersection is indeed the gate to hell, but the setup is very similar to what Mindful was

Agreed that intersection isn't the best, but they are operational as far as I know.

Lolev in Lawrenceville is mostly low top seating

It also has the best beer in town💯 They make lots of old-world styles, lush IPAs, and crushable house pils and lagers. As per OP's question, as you said, they have lots of low tables, indoor and outdoor, a couch, and a huge banquet booth.

They do not have the best beer in town. Not even top 10

Their beer is my least favorite other than cobble Haus

Not sure why Lolev has so many haters.

It's a nice spot, I don't care for their ipas, they have a weird aftertaste

And some low tops upstairs I do believe. Super nice in there

Oops, I was thinking of Hazel Grove brewing actually. But maybe Hazelwood does too.

I haven’t been there yet but I’ll add the New France/Abstract Realm place in Hazelwood also has normal tables and a really cute rooftop! Thanks!

Late Addition Brewing + Bleanding. We have diner style padded benches.

11th HR has a few coaches and indoor sit down tables. IIRC: Cinderlands, Grist House, Burghers, Trace, Hazelwood Project (Abstract and New France), Lolev,

Lolev, eleventh hour, hitchhiker, Cinderlands, Allegheny City (but I wouldn’t call those comfortable)

I’m also in the North Boroughs area. Cobblehaus in Cory is all low tops. Big Sewickley Creek’s outdoor setup looks great for warmer weather though I haven’t been there yet.

CoStar in Etna

Love CoStar but I think their seating is pretty bad, especially for what OP is asking. Lots of higher chairs with tables that meet you at the knees. Not a great setup. There are a few bar seats, outside picnic tables and a couch for video games, but few and far between

East Brewery Mt Lebanon has nice cushy booths and some comfy low chairs/tables. It’s cozy.

Def agree it’s really cute and the pizza is good good!

East End in Larimer does too, though the chairs on the low tables are not super comfortable. I like the booths though.

Aslin has good seating and decent variety too. Especially upstairs with the couches

Fermata is the best for this

Coven has low tables and padded chairs.

7

u/doubleo78 15d ago

Unfortunately they removed them and went to the high tables and stools you see everywhere

Coven has a couple couches. Fermata has lower tables/booths . Grist house has a couple lower tables
