...yeah the forward section of either a 727 or 737. United operated both.

Where is that? The only 737 cockpit that I know of sticking out of a building in Oregon is the awesome Bob's Bookstore in Newport. Which I HIGHLY recommend, if you like Powells then Bob's will tickle your fancy in some new and exciting ways. And if you have the money, they have a signed 1st Edition of Asimov's Foundation Trilogy in leather-bound hardback for like $1,600. In the same ancient locked cabinet that I got a 2nd Edition Red Book of Westmarch out of for $400 for my birthday last year.
Why am I talking about this? I need a damn nap.

Not just any United fuselage either. It's the one that crashed on Burnside back in '78. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Airlines_Flight_173

Portlanders are not a monolith. Thanks for making that clear to all who gaze.

Let's reflect on that while simultaneously stepping into our Crosstreks.

Lol I was about to say, it's lost a lotta its eccentrics, & weirdness. It's still around but also been replaced by a ton of forced hipster 'quirkiness' that's usually not even original or unique.

LOVE them all, as always! I especially dig the old Chevrolet "Van/windowless suburban"

Sorry, I have to come out and say it: While the aircraft nose and cockpit section is damn cool, it's not a Whip in the general usage of the word.
