I really wanted to see him get out of the water and stand next to you and shake off. That’s how you know a dog really loves you.

He looks too busy cooling off! Just imagine the heat under that mop.

Swim on, sweet mop.

How long will it take to dry?

Hours, if you’re lucky, but likely more than a day for all that to truly dry. Expect damp sponge smells.

I was anxiously watching, I kept expecting his coat to get saturated and sink! So glad he's buoyant! 🫣 Lol

Not to worry, he’s an excellent swimmer!

How do you brush those doggos, seriously??

u/ummusername 25d ago

You don’t.

Those are strong dogs. Dragging the cords through the water isn't easy. Never seen one swim before.

Natural dreads

Yes! They have a very neat curl pattern.

I looked it up it’s to protect them as they protect sheep and to help them look like sheep

Didn't know all that fur could act as a floatation device. TIL

There's some confused fish in that pond going "Wtf was that?" 🤣🤣🤣

What the heck half of him is still dry!

7

u/ummusername 25d ago

It takes a while for them to get fully saturated.

Seems like a great fund. Companion and blanket all in one!

Dang, gonna have to ring her out when you're done.

Breed feels horribly cruel to the dog imo. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Why? It is a working dog breed meant to protect sheep. They use their coat to stay warm in winds and winter and blend in with the flock. It’s just a tight curl pattern that naturally dreads, plenty of humans have that hair texture.
